| I don't see that she actually said anything out of order. As a mid 40 white dude myself I fully recognize there are films, books, music etc. that are not for me. Either I just won't go (which they should have known) or if I do go it's because I'm going with my wife or kid or both, just like they go to events that this old white dude likes but that may not be their cup of tea. |

Everyone just needs to remember if they don't want to see something because it features a woman in the lead they can just choose to not watch it. | The stupidity is that who cares who is in the movie, who makes it or who likes it, or even who interviews who about it. Is it a good movie? End of story. A wrinkle in time was just a bad movie, I don't care what "perspective" you want to hear from. Black Panther was a good movie. If Captain Marvel or Shazam or Gone with the Wind or Casablanca are good movies then people (of all colors ages sexes) will want to watch them. Judge a movie by the content, not by the skin color (or sex) of those associated with it. |

Granted she had threw out some facts/data about interviewers on pressers (which honestly, idk where they would get that), if she had said just "males", it would have been the same reaction probably. She shouldn't go in that direction in my opinion, b/c this medium has seen diversity for a long time. I don't care for the politics in these movies. I just want to see a good movie. And that's what we are talking about here, a movie...not law. Although, Jude Law better do a good Yon-Rogg.  |

| movies have become more than just entertainment....they are now a social comment and a political statement regardless of the subject matter and regardless of the intentions or motivations of the film makers. This has been thrust upon them and the film by a vocal group of people. | ||

| One final thing- and I promise to f*ck off in silence. I think there are 2 things here- one is "why does every movie star have to take a political/social stance, regardless of if you agree or disagree." I don't care, I'm of the "I have been reading marvel comics since 1982 and I'm stoked to see marvel movies with big budgets" camp. The other thing is- with the ability people have to express themselves in ways they didn't use to be able to, certain elements of fandom are becoming increasingly toxic and seem to be actively seeking things to rage about. Gamergate, comicsgate, (something else)gate,etc. Everyone just needs to chill- Go see it if you want, cool. Don't go see it if you don't want to, cool. |

| I disagree with the idea that Hollywood people should just be quiet. That only would help keep the status quo of old white males making decisions on who and what stories are made. People that have a soapbox to stand on that can further the idea of inclusion and diversity. If those people that can say something, don't say anything, then nothing changes. And changes do need to be made. I am really looking forward to this movie. |

| @ThorneArt I disagree. Many of these “white males making decisions” are white Jewish males. Certainly it is inappropriate to say we need less Jewish people in Hollywood, yet saying less “white” people is a more accepted statement. |
