| I remember seeing Mastodon open for Slayer in '04. They weren't booed off the stage. The Slayer crowd warmed up to them. Took a couple songs. The first band that night took the brunt of the abuse. | ||

| I went to a Metallica concert in '01 and Godsmack opened. They did a spectacular job, ended up getting 3 of their CD's. I had never heard of them before that show. There was a Metallica show I went to in '97 and Corrosion of Conformity opened. They were absolutely wasted, even said so, and only played for 20 mins, told the crowd to f*** themselves and went off stage. Was pretty hilarious and a testament to why they never hit the really big time. I do like this song though.... |

| COC was a totally different band when I saw them in the mid-80s, but I like Albatross and King of the Rotten from when they turned metal. Clean My Wounds, not so much. | ||
