I like a big mouth. It's the second thing I usually look at. As long as she doesn't talk much, or loud.

Always looking for Silver Age Human Torch Strange Tales issues, especially 115. I've got a CBCS 4.0 115 and was in the process of purchasing a CGC 4.0 on ebay when someone snatched it up first by making an offer at the auto-accepted price (set up by the seller by default) before I could send the seller an offer he had already agreed to with me. Not happy but nothing I could do. Unfortunately, given the interest in Silver Age books, there's a lot of competition on ebay for nice books and virtually any key ST books, such as 101 and 115. Some of the pricing is just outrageous. |

I think I'm gonna take a break from actively hunting down new books for how. I'm gonna direct my funds to getting stuff graded for the time being. Maybe send out an order or two a month. I'm thinking that at this point I should be getting a paid membership

Almost done with my Adam Hughes Catwoman run. Then I discovered his zatanna covers. I'll be looking for those in high grade next I think. Also in the hunt for high grade Kamandi 2-10. I already have a pretty nice Kamandi 1 that I am hoping will grade at 9.4.

@Themaxx35 lol I know the feeling. I think I'm going after Hughes' Zatanna books before I finish off Catwoman, then eventually move on to Wonder Woman

Quote:Originally Posted by dielinfinite Good call on getting a paid membership, the savings certainly add up. I have a dealer account with CBCS, which allows for the highest discounts on grading. That said, I also offer dry cleaning & pressing services. All books that I work on are fully insured at full FMV while in my possesion. No insurance plan will cover faulty workmanship om dry cleaning/pressing, only theft and fire/flood damage is covered. That is whst my insurance coverage allows for. Most pressers make you sign a release form inducating they are absolved from accidental damage/sketchy pressing jobs.My pressing contracts have no such "loophole".....I think that is just slimey. If I ever damaged a book, my pressing contracts indicate that I will reimburse the client for 100% of the FMV of the book. If you send books to me for dry cleaning/pressing, I will ship the books directly to CBCS for grading, with your shipping address set as the end point for the order. That said, if you (or any other CGC or CBCS biardie, except the few guys on my personal avoid at all costs, troll/wanker/doosh list) have me press your books, I will sub them to CBCS and that will allow you to get my dealer discount on CBCS grading fees on all books that I press for you. If you go this route, you get the highest discount on CBCS grading fees available to anyone, without having to plunk down the coin for a CBCS paid membership. If interested, PM me for details.I'll respond with my pressing rates and a legally binding contract.References are also available upon request. *Apologies to all for this shameless self promotion post* |
