I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

I submitted a bunch of them with Adam's signature in Baltimore and NYCC. Looking forward to see how they grade out.

Plenty sellers will only drop the price one dollar when you make them an offer. Happens to me quite often.

Then perhaps you should stop making low ball offers.
There's a guy on Ebay right now selling a FF #120 for $54.95 BIN (or B/O). I offered $52...he said no.

The description lists that raw book as a NM (9.4). The last two graded copies in 9.4 went for $114 on May 22nd and $115 on June 26th.

Even if his grading is off, the last graded NM- (9.2) sold for $105 on September 15th.

On top of that he is offering free shipping.

Given the circumstances the seller has every right to tell you to pound sand.

The point I was trying to make is why would he(anybody) offer Best Offer and not come down $2.95?

If the book is more than fairly priced the seller should not have to come down one penny.

I agree 100%.

It's just baffling why Best Offer is optioned.

There are now sellers on eBay using the best offer option for more visibility and have no intention of actually excepting offers.

Good point. My guess is that all of his auctions start out with that option, and he just didn't change it for this one.

But who knows, and who cares. If he doesn't want to sell except at his price. Then fine. There are always other opportunities around.
