I got a couple of books back today. They were originally graded by PGX (by someone else); I sent them to CBCS to press and grade. The NM98 was a 9.4 and X-Men 94 was an 8.5. I sent them with press screen, so presumably they were lower than CBCS' 9.2 and 8 when they cracked the PGX holder. They had to be pressed to get to the 9.2 and 8, still lower than PGX's original grade. Is there a community-approved name for that? If not, I suggest 'The PGX Special'. |

| On the topic of TATs, CBCS got the order on Dec 26, with press screen and quick press got that done in about three weeks, then thanks to my 2 Day Modern coupons turned around the grading and shipped it in a week. I'm pretty happy. | ||

| What the King says. If you cross grade, you increase the chance of the grades going in a direction you don't want. Taking PGX books, pressing them and having them only drop one half grade is a success, not a failure. And this can happen going from CGC to CBCS and vice versa. Heck, you can get different grades on the same book going to the same company a year later. |
