WTB Sensational Spider-Man 0 NEWSSTAND NM8201

SpongeBob Comics #1 sells for $991! Joosh private msg quote post Address this user
These are common as direct edition with the hologram but I cannot seem to find newsstand edition w/o hologram in VF or better. I bought one new at a grocery store newsstand and want to upgrade as mine is about a F/VF.
I’ve seen a few directs with the hologram removed but the upc on the back gives it away.

Thanks!

Update: After about two years of searching including eBay notifications for any new listings for a Sensational Spider-Man 0, sifting through hundreds of direct additions, I finally see a great looking copy on eBay. I offer a Buy-it-Now, not wanting to wait out the auction. I was so excited... until it arrived.

It’s not a high value book but it is scarce, ugh. The search continues, this book will get pressed when I have another load ready.

The old "I'll use shitty cardboard for packing" method.

@Joosh - Feel free to share the seller’s name so none of us will ever get damaged books from him.

I mean...using cardboard like that is amateur, using the SEAM of cardboard with a natural bend in it as a backer is just stupidity.

Seller is mollyboo386.
To their credit the seller did apologize and offer a return, and seemed receptive to my recommendations to package better.
Unfortunately I cannot find these books for sale anywhere, so I'm not letting this one get returned. It's mine. I'm being irrational and I accept that. As seen from my first post, I have a fond memory attached to this issue.

CGC doesn't have this book listed as a separate Newsstand version. I have never seen a newsie graded and imagine CGC would split this out given the lack of the rather substantial hologram seen on the Direct Editions.

I'd really like to get one worthy of sending to CBCS.

Funny you mention that, this is copy/paste (some of) exactly what I responded with.

"The packaging was insufficient for the book you sold me. Now it has a full length fold right where the cardboard had an actual place for folding."

@CFP_Comics do you think this will press out; or is at least worth pressing to make the best of it?

But that fold let your mailman fit it easily into your mailbox!
