My dad told me stories about the riots. He was going to art school (Chouinard Institute) and explained how when he flew home for a visit you could see the smoke as LA was burning from the riots! | ||

Atlanta was experiencing some turmoil in the aftermath of Rodney King's abuse and the L.A. riots. I worked with a bunch of black guys. We were all huddled and talking about how crazy it was. I looked at all the guys and said "Let's all get together and go downtown to beat the hell out of white people!" Since I was the only white person in the group, they gave me a WTF look. I think it definitely relieved the tension where I worked. | ||
