eBay sellers shipping LATE8180

The post office in Dayton that I go to has a 24 lobby. So it's nice on my way in to work at 5am. However, the crew doesn't always scan the item. Many times the first scan is at the bulk mail center in Cincinnati. When I lived in Cincinnati, the first scan was always at the drop off location, That said, I state 3 days handling time, but try to get everything out the next day.

Oh good lord!! I received my package from Canada yesterday but I have 2 separate packages from California that are still in "TRANSIT" and all ordered around the same time! LOL, on a different note...some of the best comics in the BEST condition I have ever received have come from Canada...they must love their comics and care for them better than we do in the United States!

MY post office is open 24/7 except holidays. I drop it off within 20 minutes of getting paid, even if it is 1am.. I make sure it's out on the trucks asap.. here is what I write on my ebay descriptions

"This is the actual item pictured you are purchasing, so please look at the pictures carefully. The item does not have any cracks, and comes from a smoke free home. SHIPPING IS FREE. I cover it from the total cost of the item. I ship USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box which includes a tracking number which I provide upon payment. This not only protects you as a buyer, but myself as a seller, as well) to addressee in the United States. Reasonable buyer requests regarding shipping maybe accommodated. Total Payment is due via PayPal within 48 hours of Auction Ending.

*Unless it is a dire emergency I have to take care of, I will always ship and provide a tracking number within 24 hours of FULL payment received. Non Payers will be reported to eBay.*

I wish I had a 24 hour PO, I would totally go over there at night if I could to drop off packages. I'm a little jellsies.

Yeah the lobby is always open, I am not happy about the Parking lot, its poorly lit, and sometimes the drop off is full so I just have to wait it out for the AM.

I am a lazy shipper.

Stated handling time, 2 days. It’s usually 3. Sometimes I’ll sit on it for a week before getting around to it, but will ship a faster tier in that case.

I should be better, but am not.

I just reminded an eBay seller today, it had been 5 days since purchase. When I sell on eBay I ship the VERY NEXT DAY...no excuses!

I normally do too, unless the buyer pays right when I'm going to bed...happened twice last night

I hate getting dinged on my DSR's because some guy decides to pay at midnight on a weekday.

You know what really gets me unhinged about eBay?

People who don't give feedback about your purchase or your shipping?
I'm trying to establish myself as being credible.

I sold an item to one person and checked if he left me feedback or got the item.

When I clicked "Feedback left for others" here is what popped up from several months ago.

"I don't waste my time with feedback but this seller was AWESOME, Thanks again."

Wow.. so I guess I wasn't cool or awesome enough for 2 minutes of your respect.

One of my recent arrivals from Canada took 5 or 6 days to get to me. Blew my mind! Hoping the next will be the same.

I can understand this. Within the space provided I pretty much cover it at least with, "Book[s] arrived quickly and packed safely, and are as described."
Adjectives are added for the exceptional cases.

I've had pretty good turnarounds on packages from the UK arriving in less than 2 weeks. Canada is usually pretty good too. It blows my mind that international shipments can arrive before media mail sometimes.

@Gabriel85301 pretty much why I don't leave feedback for buyers unless it is left for me. It does get annoying when you are trying to get started out. It's hit or miss on if I ever receive it.

I've been selling on ebay on and off for several years, and I've found that if I'm lucky one buyer in five will leave feedback.

On the other hand, I've also found that a good number of the people shopping on ebay are lunatics, so maybe I don't want them all leaving feedback.

I have an apps which remind buyers who have not left feedback after a set time to leave feedback.

It does increase the number of buyers who leave feedback when being reminded. Once in a while it also cause a buyer to ask questions about a purchase.

I know various threads have had "can you send comics via media mail" stories, so here's mine. I just had a media mail package I sent returned to me for insufficient postage after it was inspected. Coincidentally, it was the same day I finally received the comic from my earlier post, which was sent.... media mail.

@xkonk I know what you mean. This package was supposed to be redelivered the next day. Instead it took usps 10 days to redeliver and only after politely asked them the whereabouts of my package

I created a USPS account just so I could put in a 'missing mail' request. The tracking screen is too long to screenshot but mine looks like

USPS in possession of item, Chicago, Dec 29

Arrive in Pittsburgh, Dec 31

In transit, Jan 4

Arrive in Philadelphia, Jan 5

Arrive in Philadelphia, Jan 19

Delivered, Jan 22
