So: which comic is credited with the first appearance of Savage Dragon? And that brings us to Savage Dragon Limited Series #1, first appearance of Savage Dragon. i think i have the order correct now. these are the same characters correct? |

| CGC slabs are inconsistent in the first appearance. Is this basically an argument on whether or not the Dragon and the Savage Dragon are the same character? Then if they are the same character, is it then where is he first named the Savage Dragon? | ||

| @Scorpion @Joosh I probably should have been a bit clearer. My point was CGC slabs either (1) are inconsistent or (2) they are differentiating the characters. | I've always thought Megaton #3 was his first appearance. Does he actually appear in a story prior to that? I know he had appearances in ads, but I didn't think he was actually in any stories prior to Megaton #3. I'm not a fan of the character, but I own a copy that I grabbed out of a budget box of comics.. either priced a quarter or a dollar. It's not in the greatest shape.  |

| The links answer my question. I'd still consider Megaton #3 as the first professional appearance of the character. Why didn't he publish a Prism comic instead? I would like that better. | ||
