They keep sticking to extremes. Too dark and gritty or too comedic. They need to aim straight down the middle. Tell a serious drama with extraordinary people facing high stakes. They just don't get it.

i love plastic man this is great. however, it's DCCU. So, meh.

Amy Adams confirmed yesterday she thinks her role of Lois Lane is done. So Henry is definitely done.

DCCU sucks!

Whether Plastic Man succeeds or fails depends entirely on whether the film's creators can harness Jack Cole's comedic balance for the character. It will definitely be difficult to film live action while retaining Cole's sense of comic irony. Silly won't cut it; neither will dark and deadly serious.

IMO, it would work much better as a CG animated feature locked into Jack Cole's style which mixes a slightly comedic look (including Woozy Winks) with realistic albeit slightly cartoonish looking characters in a clever, whimsical storyline that is neither childish nor campy. In any event, this character is going to be a tough needle to thread as a live action feature.

Plastic man guys can sure keep a wife, notice even the royal Sub Mariner could not steal Reed’s wife. Stretchy rules! Deadpool type humor?

Nah! Mallrats humor. Or the humor of every adolescent male that ever opened a comic book.

Never got into plastic man.

He was forgotten about in my generation of comics, and if he is as funny as you say he is, then he wouldn't have belonged in the brooding comics of the 80s and 90s anyway.

I think he would do well now though, under the right circumstances of course

I was almost going to bid on that 9.2 unless that's a different 9.2 from the one that popped up on ebay recently...

That must be the other one; I wasn't even aware that another 9.2 had been graded or bumped. Do you recall the PQ? Was it a pedigree? Note:The Church copy also has White pages (it sold in a HA back in 2006 as a 9.0).

The book above has been in my collection since originally encapsulated (5+ years ago).

Wow I never knew about the ABC show. I would have watched that over and over again! I have the cartoon set on dvd. My son and I watched quite a few together. I was surprised it held his attention too he seemed to enjoy it.

I cannot believe I never heard of the Wachowski brothers failed attempt at a Plastic Man movie with Bruce Campbell? That's insane.

Bruce Campbell or even Jim Carrey from the mid-90s would've been perfect

Problem is both of those guys would have been great in their prime in the role...I look at the picture and the cheesiness of it and all I can see is David Hasselhoff...but again, too old.

@JLS_Comics Great job on the video!

I'm leary of the writer they chose. Doesn't sound like much of a resume. As for this being the possible answer to Marvels Deadpool, not likely. I can't see them making a crude but hilarious rated "R" movie. My guess, they will go for a PG-13 family movie that will fall short and fail. So sad.
