| @Enelson Yep. Same boat. I've come to reality while trying to finish my 1st series ASM set. As much as I would like all the early keys in high grade, my wallet says no. So, I accepted this and get lower grades. Still love them. | ||

 Won this in a raffle a month or so ago so book isn’t new, but grade is! Had it pressed / cleaned and regraded. I saw some creasing / dirt and knew it could be better. Unfortunately no saving from the ink scribbles. But still happy with bump. |

| I don’t have the reprint (yet) but when I saw the record go up for sale for a good price, I had to pull the trigger. Compared to the book, the record is tougher to find. It’ll be sweet to have the set once I finally get around to buying the comic. I actually made an offer on it expecting a counter-offer. Imagine my surprise when they took my opening price!  |

| @00slim - Very cool! I bought a set of the 4 reprints when I was a teenager and remember waiting for them to arrive in the mail! Even then I knew I would probably never own the originals. I was shocked when I had CBCS grade them and 3 came back with 9.6's with white pages (the Avengers #4 only got an 8.5). I am pretty sure they were mailed to me without bags or boards in an envelope with only a piece of thin cardboard on the top and bottom of the stack. Those were the days. Good luck on finding one to go with your record. |

Ok so now usps mail call at home. Not very happy about this one. I ordered this 09/30/2018 from torpedo comics. Signing was 09/29. I’m fairly patient and didn’t start calling for updates till end of Jan. Each time same response “soon”. Finally got it and it’s not even a freaking 9.8. I double checked the site and it unfortunately did say that all would be NM and did not list grades, but come on. Lesson learned. Never ordering there again.  |

| @kaptainmyke I’m sure there is and I understand. But just not real happy that with the wait, it being ordered new with sigs and being sent to cgc from the shop that I get sent a 9.6. I just find it hard to believe that no others sent from their own store variant / batch that were signed didn’t came back a 9.8 that could have been sent in its place. Could be wrong though I guess. |

| My guess is that they got them in that condition from Diamond. Having said that, you would think that they would have had someone inspect them and pick out the best copies. Torpedo Comics are not amateurs in the game, so they probably did. But that's also why they say NM and don't promise a grade. It's too easy for something to happen to knock the comics off of a 9.8 condition. | ||
