It's also cannon that the Stormtroopers are not clones, as far as know. It's possible the Kominoians destroyed the clones after Order 66, I doubt they stayed loyal to the Empire.

@roarzola Palpatine was a smart SoB, I bet Order 67 had all the clones on Komino wipe out the whole planet, heck it was already erased from all the Republic star charts.

Palpatine would also have realized that if Kamino rebelled against the Empire they were the only planet with a large enough standing army ready to go.

Even though it's not canon, you guys should read Darth Plagueis. Excellent read, and you learn a lot of things that was going on behind the scenes as Palpatine was rising to power.

Quote:Originally Posted by mPoore Cool, I will look it up. Might I also recommend reading the paperback adaptation of Revenge of the Sith. I always found the transformation of Anakin to turn on the Jedi too unrealistic in the movie but if you ready the discussion between Anakin and Palpatine at the opera, Palpatine really lays down the groundwork for the sith and what they stood for. Also, when Anakin confronts Palpatine after Palpatine discloses who he is, there is a long discussion again about the sith, the jedi, and what each stand for. It makes for a good convincing argument and shows that the sith are not truly evil. |

@mPoore I'm in the middle of reading that. I highly recommend the Darth Bane trilogy as well. Palpatine was also simply completing the long game plan that Darth Bane set in motion 1000 years prior. There's also a theory that every Darth Master from Bane to Palpatine actually is Darth Bane. At the end of the Darth Bane trilogy Bane was attempting to master a Dark Side power that would allow him to jump his consciousness into a new body. And he attempted this when his apprentice tried to kill him and take his place as Master per the rule of two Bane established and taught her. Was he successful, there's a big mystery they way that book ends. |

@DarthLego I'm still needing two more books to have the Darth Bane trilogy. I'm one of those who has to have them all in hard back, so a couple of them are a little hard to get a hold of. I'm currently reading Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, it's not bad.

The Darth Bane trilogy is great if you truly want to understand the point of view of the Sith and why it is they do what they do.

The Sith are evil from the Jedi point of view. The Sith don't view themselves as evil, they are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish their goals, and they truly believe the galaxy is better off without the Jedi in it. When they they embrace the Dark Side they no longer have the same morality as normal people.

The Dark Side will warp an individual to the point where the normality of right and wrong no longer exist. There is simply, I have a goal, anyone who stands in my way of that goal is my enemy and must be removed from the equation.
