CBCS Signature ASPQuestionsSignatures

Over-billed...AGAIN!7847

Collector Odins_Raven private msg quote post Address this user
Has anyone else been charged for a old VSP signature upon re-submission?

I added a ASP Adam Hughes signature to a book I submitted with a Joe Kubert signature that had been VSP'd during a previous submission. I included the red label with the book. When CBCS billed me, they added $25 for VSP for the same signature! This has happened more than once.

I have emailed customer service three times to correct this with no response and I now can't even call the phone number to get an actual person.

Any advice from admins or experienced customers?

Thanks.

This is good to know. I called customer service because I saw that they did the same thing on my Terrificon invoice. The gentleman that helped me submit my first few submissions at Terrificon seemed a little overwhelmed and doe eyed.

I was told by customer service that it would be fixed. My invoice online has not been updated to reflect this, but I know they have bigger issues to deal with and I am giving them the benefit of doubt. At least until I see if this charge hits my bill once I am charged.

I would recommend that when you do get a hold of someone, that they send you a confirming email stating that it has been changed. I would also learn from my mistake and ask if the invoice online will be updated to reflect the fix.

@Hcanes I have not seen any changes to my online invoice or my credit card charge. I honestly dont care as much about the online invoice as long as the charge is correct. This has happened more than once, last time they gave me a credit not a refund.

I understand they have larger issues to deal with but the fact that they are not checking to see if the unwitnessed signature on the book has already been verified or not is very concerning to me and makes me wonder what else they might be missing.

Was the book submitted in the slab, or witnessed being taken out of the slab for the second signature?

@xkonk Cracked out of the slab to add a signature, then submitted. Witnessed.

@Buzbe I do have the previous submission invoice in case they need to see it. Which they shouldnt because the red label proving the signature has been VSP'd was with the book when submitted.

@KingNampa Yes I did. Truly a loss for our community. I’m saddened but grateful that he is with his wife and no longer has to be exploited by financial parasites.

If it was witnessed and the paperwork was filled out properly, definitely sounds like a raw deal.

They tried to do the same to me. They emailed me that I submitted wrong and they would charge me the difference. I looked and I did it right. Emailed them back and they said I was right. Seemed weird when I got the email but seeing this may be a problem for others as well

Finally got through today on the phones, a young lady with a southern accent answered. I explained the situation; she was very helpful and personally contacted the billing dept. I should see the fee returned to my account in a week or so.

Who cracked it? You or the witness? Makes a difference.
