No, if they screen it and decide to press you would be charged at that point and it would go into pressing on your dashboard/invoice. If they decide not to press you aren't charged (beyond the press screen you should've already paid) and it moves on to grading, or I guess back to you if you weren't having it graded.

if you chose press screen and they decide a press is needed you would be charged for the press but would they refund the press screen charge? not likely eh?

From the invoice, it says it was pressed. I guess I shouldn't question it, just happy to be getting a book in a few weeks (if even that) with a high grade is more than what I expected. =)

That would be nice, but no. They did provide the screening service, after all.

if all July pressing orders have been completed and sent to Dallas, why is there no change to the status of my order from July - 18-27A8A7E. This wait has been unbelievably long.

@KMiracleman You won't see an update until they get graded. The later part of July will be in Dallas mid-next week. Your books will not be much longer.

So received by CBCS in mid-September? My next batch of books (3 single-book orders) were received in late October, so little over a month for my next mail call

So previously books submitted at conventions would have a recieved dated of the following Tuesday, or something like that. Is that still the case? I did not get the notification that my Baltimore convention books were received until way later, like the end of November. Baltimore was in September, two months before.

Are the books consider received as of the Tuesday after Baltimore or as of the end of November?

Either way I still have a long wait, but would to be able have an accurate estimate in my head.

@Themaxx35 They should still be, yes. I didn’t get the email for the books I submitted at SDCC in late July until like a month later but they were completed last month as expected

@Krypton yes, I'm calling B.S. on Ricketts; his post on the forum topic "CBCS Pressing" is misleading at best. He posted that "July was done and sent to Dallas" in late January...soooo, how could our books still be there now, in the second week of February?!?

How do you know whether the books have not had their pressed done and in Dallas now?

They still need to be graded after being pressed

Any books in CBCS possession will stay at the current stage until they move to the next phase. Pressed books stay marked as pressing until they actually enter the grading room and are scanned They still have to be physically graded. Once scanned in the grading room they are graded in a couple of days but still stay marked as grading

Do you have modern or expanded books? My order was received 6/28 for 5 books with pressing. The moderns went from submitted to labels 3 days ago but the 2 expanded are still received. Not sure if this is normal. Are you downloading and checking the invoice/pdf file too?

One, golden age pressed, signature series submitted at Tampa Bay MegaCon September...22nd (con was 21-23). Just got the notice it's available for pickup at the Clearwater remote pick-up office.

@Karlhungus if you have an order with combined shipping and one of the tiers is marked as being in slab, the other tiers still need to be graded. Your order is all together in one box. The modern graders have graded those books and passed them on to the vintage graders. As soon as those books are graded all the tiers will show as being in slab.

Just curious if anyone knows. I submitted some books back in early September and have not received anything yet. I thought turnaround time was 12 weeks or so. Well it’s been almost 5 months now. Is this common for grading because Cgc doesn’t take anywhere that kind of time? If so this will be the last time submitting any books.
