Comic submissions are like an old "RonCo" product. ("Set it and forget it." ) For us it is, Submit it and forget it. |

anyone remember the new customer service phone #?? Just interested to call...week 27 of 24 and no status updates on my dashboard...just wondering if there are any updates but just aren't reflected? I had pressing so I know that will put me even further behind than others but it would be nice to know if the process has even started. |

@KatKomics If I remember correctly, you and I submitted relatively close to each other and are in pressing. Three weeks ago Steve Ricketts stated that they were a few weeks away from pressing mid June submissions. I am thinking within the next two weeks we should begin to see a movement on our books. Not sure calling will expedite anything.

I am completely new to slabbing, but have been collecting comics for close to 40 years. I have been looking at graded comics for many years at different cons and have wanted to get a bunch of mine done just for displaying them. I love the way they look with all relevant information printed on the label. I never sent anything in because I wasn't positive I could trust anyone with my comics. I finally took the plunge and submitted 3 comics at the Cincinnati Comic Expo. I really wish I had read these forums before submitting my comics to CBCS. While I know I am only on week 8 of a very long wait, my friend that just got into slabbing about the same time has already got his first shipment back from the other company and they look fine. I do prefer the cases that CBCS uses, but I seriously doubt I will use them again. Not that I matter to the company, but weekly updates on the status of the company making progress to catch up would go a long way in appeasing their customers. I just dont think I can support a company that is this far behind and makes no effort to keep their customers informed.

@xkonk yeah...you're right, scratch the call - not like it will speed things up - they should just disable the dashboards or something, frustrating to look at when nothing changes

@zosocane yep - sent for pressing and grading in early June. To be fair, in the past I have waited 6+ months for CGC, everyone goes through ups and downs

Well at least I know I'm not alone. I'm at 20 weeks out and it still shows processing. Hopefully they show up for a Christmas gift.

@KatKomics It took me about a week and a half of calling to get through but when I did they told me my books were in grading and I just got an email about an hour ago letting me know they are in heating and encapsulation and should have them in 2-3 weeks. We both submitted at NFCC so in theory your books should be around where Im at. My dashboard has never changed either. |

I sent in a group of books for grading and another for pressing and grading recieved 6/4. I've received the grades books after calling customer service a couple of weeks ago. My books were held up because of an incorrect card number. The pressed books are held up because they are backed up in pressing. I suggest calling customer service and making sure that they have all your billing info correct.

@zosocane I submitted two to be pressed and 5 without pressing. They were marked received on June 11. One expanded with a press and one Modern with a press. From the pressing thread, they are working on pressing from late may and should be working on early June shortly. @KatKomics Pressing is behind and that is why we are not seeing movement. Early June should be pressed soon. @Biorobot I understand your frustration and can tell you that both companies struggle when submissions outpace production. This is CBCS's turn at the turnaround problem. Regardless of the time away from you, they will return and you will love the cases. @GAC is correct. They have repeatedly tried to let us know that they know they are behind and that actions have been taken. It would help if the dashboard would update or if there was a place that you could update us like this: (Data is not real) |

Is a change from grading to billing a good thing? Was shocked to see the additional amount I need to Shell out but I'm sure I'll be happy with the end result.

@dameki that is a good problem. It means something graded higher than you valued it at. Your investment is worth more and moved up a tier.

@dameki had this happen to me as well. It's a great thing. Had valued a 1947 #1 book I had picked insured value 250.00 under expanded tier, we'll it came back 9.8 which is worth around 2k, so they charged a little more. Not sure if it's an insurance policy thing or just a FMV thing, but either way for a few bucks more it was all good to have a surprise 9.8.

Pre-Screen Modern stack shipped to CBCS on 6/20 - so probably received the beginning of the week of 6/25 - was changed from "Received" to "Grading" six days ago but just got the grading email yesterday.
