| So I was at the LCS this morning and snagged a copy of Dark Avengers #1 while it was still in the bargain bin based on the rumors trickling out yesterday that Marvel had commissioned a Dark Avengers script... https://comicbook.com/marvel/2018/10/05/dark-avengers-movie-marvel-studios-in-development/ I wasn't entirely familiar with this storyline before today, so I'm starting to work my way through it... Just had a thought this morning as I was starting to read it, with Venom being rumored to have ties down the road to the MCU (and possibly why the PG-13 rating)...could it be tied to the Dark Avengers scripts that's being worked on...they don't exactly have to do the long drawn out setup of characters that they did with the first Avengers and could take a "Suicide Squad" intro approach if they touched on a few of the villains in early stages of the next MCU phase... |

@Paulbg2000 As a bit of a precurser to Dark Acengers, story-wise, I highly recommend reading Warren Ellis’ run on Thunderbolts. It does the “bad guys begrudgingly playing good guys” incredibly well and it makes me wish the Suicide Squad movie had taken more inspiration from it (different publishers, I know, but I’d be happy for some cross contamination if it means getting a good movie out of it)  |
