Just finished replacing my wife's turbo on her Mini Cooper. Started Saturday, finished today (Sunday). It's cool, because it's done...... I hate that car.

I had to basically dismantle it.

Here is the bad turbo.

Here is the new turbo with the header installed.

Installed and put back together. Just gotta finish installing the body, refill the engine coolant and bleed air out.

Here is a curious picture. Is it more interesting if I tell you who they are, or if I see if anyone can correctly guess?

That's the original Darth Vader, David Charles Prowse.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

Winner Winner! Yes this is a picture of Prowse and Baker. Of course better known in the Star Wars world as Darth Vader and R2D2.

You know how in this hobby you always wind up with random stuff? A book of Flash Gordon Sunday strips glued to backing from late 1937 to late 1939, and another of Prince Valiant from 1945 to 1947. Conversation pieces

Some of you may have seen these before, but I just recently discovered them - a bunch of Rockwellesque fake Saturday Evening Post covers with various DC heroes and villains. Of course the Catwoman one is my favorite - and if you look close you'll see the cop is actually Chief O'Hara from the Batman TV show.

Here's the link if you want to look at the others:

Best way to enjoy a 7 degree day. A couple of cold Guinness stouts in my 104 degree swin spa. And a night picture from last night.

@Darkseid_of_town The dates have been driving me nuts, actually. Some of them seem keyed to first appearances, some not. Like 1989 for Catwoman is 49 years too late - and years before she started wearing the costume shown there. Same thing with Joker and Harley 1942 (two years after Joker, decades before Harley) and Wonder Woman 1945 (four years after her first appearance).

Some of my recent submissions received from across the street. I didn’t get the #1 slabbed yet but you can see it in my avatar.

Plus one that Baba liked that I ended up submitting (Punisher 102).
