Added to my Jewel Collection today....
A fan of her work, I keep a watch on her self operated site as from time to time she offers rarer items, signed items, or even tour used etc....
She also maintains many free downloads of her various songs, as well as the ability to purchase digital copies of her concerts by dates and tours...so if you attended a show, you can go buy that specific show for your enjoyment.

This is an album she previously released, but a signed CD version for 14 dollars direct from the artist herself is a good deal to me at least.

I've become kind of a student of historical context. It's interesting to look at this and realize that in 1947 the target audience was not baby-boomers (they were just starting to be born). These customers were War Kids, kids who had grown up during WWII and experienced all the rationing, fears and patriotic movements. And the elation of Victory. These kids had been attending school while WWII was being fought. Their fathers or uncles or older brothers had gone overseas...and hopefully returned. Their mothers had gone to work, many for the first time, and some of those mothers had returned to the home after the war. Pretty much every kid had a family member who had participated in one way or another. And about 10% of the population was contemplating moving west to the abundant jobs and perpetual sunshine of California.

Thanks! I have three I frequent on a regular basis. They've been good to me and tend to get some good stuff in. With the local shows being cancelled in OH and elsewhere, this book might still be available in a few weeks as there won't be as many dealers coming in and scooping up the good stuff.

I did ask him about layaway over a few months which he was open to.

These aren't in hand yet but were ordered today...My mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I showed her these hoping for one or two of them..she got all four.

these are articulated, moveable , and poseable dinosaur figures done on a larger scale using current science to make them as accurate as possible.
they are done by David Silva, of Beasts of the Mesozoic, and this is his second campaign, as his first was dedicated to raptors...and his next set will apparently be tyrannoaurids.

I especially wanted the first model as it is the same dinosaur as the skeleton mounted in my living room

Psittacosaurus

The next three are all models I just liked, Protoceratops also being from China, similar to Psittacosaurus

The Juvenile triceratops is expertly sculpted..and it can help me with demonstrating the differences between an adult and a sub adult when I do presentations, or talks.
The Zuniceratops was small and priced quite fairly so it got tossed in....smaller animal in life, than the bigger hitters from this family

I wont have these bad boys till sepetember if all goes as planned but at least they are in the que for me....excited to get them, especially that psittacosaurus. I have every model and toy ever released of that particular dinosaur, since my own skeleton is the same

ps thanks mom, cause these things are spendy...you are looking at well over 200 dollars worth with shipping and all in

@HeinzDad @BrianGreensnips this is at the Bookery in Fairborn, OH. I also frequent Queen City Comics in Cincinnati and Comic Book World in Florence, KY. There are plenty of shops in the area but these are my go to shops. I've been wanting to go to stores in the Cleveland area, but haven't made the journey yet.

I have been to the one in Florence Kentucky before. My wifes sister used to live in Kentucky. There is actually a dealer who has a comic book shop in a flea market shop near Cleveland. He sets up here at the Livonia show. He has some awesome high grade books. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name or the shop that he sets up at. I will ask for his card the next time I see him. He basically drives about 4 hours to set up at thos small K of C hall show. That must say something about the show.
