Just show something cool part 27584

Please continue to ignore anything I post. southerncross private msg quote post Address this user
I forgot I had my bill battle 3 in the cgc registry. I have cgc books registered as another record of books I have for insurance purposes on their sets registry site.

Received this certificate in the mail today.

Oh well since my single book set is the only one there I win 🤪

My book.

I just think it's a classic cold war cover.
Reason I picked it up years ago.

@Jesse_O and @sborock - If I close my eyes and focus really hard, I can relive that wonderful smell of stale, rock-hard, cracked, powdered sugar-coated bubble gum. It was glorious!

A pair of Chamber of Chills deluxe traycase editions from PS Artbooks. These were limited to 26 lettered copies which included autographed art prints signed by the artist and the author who wrote the foreword for each volume. Volume one is actually the publisher’s personal copy.

Trivia:

The Aero #3 Philippines Only Exclusive cover is a homage to an X-men cover from 1991 (if I got the year right).

And the same artist did it too -- Image comics co-founder Whilce Portacio -- who will be here in a couple of weeks for a convention.

PS: A follow-up to my previous post, regarding the upcoming convention -- the organizers endorse CBCS, yeah!!

"Texas Toothpicks" with dinosaur bone handles. Not finished but my knife guy says soon...these were made from small slabs of bone about half the size of a dollar bill, and were cheap to grab because of the size.

Harvey Comics bound office volume. This one is from the art department and features all the Harvey romance comics published during the last third of 1957.

These are “girl comics”, even though, when you read the stories it seems pretty obvious they were written by men. Another interesting feature in these is the advertising, which is clearly aimed at young women and is a little different from the standard comic book advertising fare:

The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
Brother lives in new York. Sent these pix to me.

Brooklyn mall .. it is called "Industry City". It actually had mini factories and local stores with a food court.
On the way out... a statue of Captain America

Post 528 IP   flag post
Moderator Jesse_O private msg quote post Address this user
@Bronte I remember when they were talking about putting that statue up. The original design did not have the plaque that mentions Kirby and Simon. People got extremely upset, made a lot of noise (there may have been a petition) and that plaque was added to the statue.

The plaque was definitely a good touch. People need to be reminded of the people who made him great. Although chris Evan's did a wonderful job, (in my opinion) he would be nothing without those people that made it possible.

Side note.

I have a buddy from Brooklyn, New York. When she watched the captain America film, and Steve Roger's said, I'm just a kid from Brooklyn, she stood up and yelled Yeah!!
