Collector Guy private msg quote post Address this user
Anyone else getting auto-reply messages to genuine questions? I've received this response twice for questions that are unrelated...
Does anyone know how to get a hold of these people?

...........................

Unfortunately, many orders have fallen behind the estimated 8-12 week window for our standard tiers (Modern, Expanded, and Consumer), and are currently 4-6 weeks behind. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and are working endlessly to ensure that we work through our backlog as fast as we can so that your order is returned to you as soon as possible.

Fast Passed orders along with 2-Day and 1-Day tiers are on time and should have no delay.

If you are requesting a status update, we please ask you to check in on your account dashboard. If you would like to know the expected out date please use this calculator to gauge what the estimated due out date would be. Barring the current delay, this should be accurate.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

The CBCS Team

I got a real answer to an email I sent yesterday, but I had concrete questions about changing an order. I could imagine it depends on what the question is.

I’ve talked to a few people in the same boat as masochism above. I submitted books at the PHX comicon back in May. People are receiving their books from that convention with no updates to their dashboard and no tracking info. Their books are just appearing.

I have travel coming up and just want an update and tracking number if the books were shipped so they don’t sit in front of my house for days while I’m out of town. Thanks for responding.

@Guy Check your dashboard every day.

My order showed up in the dashboard, complete with tracking number, before the books arrived.

It's harder for some of us to be patient than others, but it looks like everyone's books are getting back on track so patience is key here.

@Masochism
Please read my response. I’ve talked to 3 people from that show who did not get a dashboard update or tracking number prior to their books arriving.

Tracking info should go out the day your order ships, if not the day after. We put signature requirements on all shipments, so they shouldn't be dropped at your door if you are not home.

You can reroute your package to the nearest FedEx office as well. We all know that the FedEx people will wait around for you all day long.

The 3 people I talked to must be lying about not receiving tracking/updated dashboards.

I know this is an ideal solution, but I believe that you can create a Fedex account and set it up for them to notify you when a package is entered into their system for delivery to you. You can also have them hold a package or redirect it that way also.

Also, I'd suggest that you check your dashboard AND open your invoices everyday, just in case one is updated and the other is not. CBCS has openly admitted that they are having problems right now with the online dashboard and automatic emails.

@Jesse_O
Thank you. That’s an answer and an explanation of what’s happening.

@Guy No problem. Sometimes things get said on one thread or even on Facebook and it is generally lost after that. I'm just relating what I know and have heard. I'm glad it helped you!!!

They send an email out letting you know your order is ready for shipping, then another once it's shipped (atleast with me they have). So you might want to check your email because books just showing up is not cool.

The only way a tracking number doesn't get emailed is if the person in shipping didn't close out the invoice.
Does that happen? Yes.
Does it happen often? No.

We still only ship out with signature required, so it should not be dropped at your door.

@Guy I don’t know if this helps, but Walgreens has entered into a partnership with FedEx; so you can arrange to have your books delivered to a convenient Walgreens location & they will hold it until you are able to pick it up. Or arrange to have it held at the nearest available FedEx service location.

Hope it helps!
