| @Frontier2Xterra - Set record highs last weekend, so no ice anywhere near me. Wanted to take the boat out, but 20 to 30 mph winds with stronger gusts. The high today was around 52! Cold front comes in tomorrow night, with a high of around 25 on Friday. Need a good week below freezing to get any chance of “safe” ice. As I kid I remember driving trucks on the ice and the ice fishing season lasting over two months. Some years now, you are lucky if you can get out two or three times all “season.” Wondering if I will even get out once this season. | ||

| I'll have to try next year to get a photo before the canal closes for the season. It's kind of beautiful early in the morning in the dark...looks like little cities out in the lake as they wait for their turn through the canal as they all rush for either their last runs of the season or to get back to their homes or dry dock etc. | ||
