So my top three hobbies are comics, cars, and fishing. Granted, I know this is a comic forum, but why not a thread for another hobby? It keeps my stress level down and lets me focus on nothing else but this when I’m there. My catches from today;

I caught a Salmon fillet when the clerk at the grocery store handed it to me. That's about all the fishing I do.

My hobbies were my lifestyle: Sex and drugs and Rock and Roll in the 60s and 70s. But nowadays it's all that I can do to breathe, a little like those fish.

This is from a few years ago on a camping trip in Maine.

I have to get some sleep now because I’m getting up at 3 am to go fishing tomorrow.

You guys have been killing me with these pictures!!! I haven't been fishing in years. Here is a picture of me with a small walleye caught about 75-100 yards south of the Canadian border on the Rainy River in Minnesota. Circa 2003-2004.

The biggest freshwater bass that I ever caught and had mounted - a 7 and 3/4 pound largemouth that I took out of Indian Lake in South Kingstown, RI way back in 1983!

@Jesse_O Our family fishing trip is to Lake of the Woods in MN every year. The Walleye are fantastic, the Northern Pike are gigantic, and the scenery is incredible. The only downside is the driving distance (I drive up from Texas), and the mosquitos; they really could qualify as the state bird.

@BabaLament LOL!! Yeah the mosquitoes can be terrible here!!! And I gather that you know that we often call them our state bird!! LOL!! But that whole area is gorgeous!!! I actually grew up in central Minnesota and lived on or near a lake. I spent MANY hours fishing until I got married. I love catching northerns!!! They were my favorite fish to catch and eat as a teen. I could go off our dock and catch them almost any day that the lake was open (not covered in ice). But I caught and ate sunfish, crappie, bass, northern and walleye. We even had an occasional bullhead or carp smoked by our neighbor. I fished pretty much every summer up until about 10 years ago. I miss it terribly!!!

me and my buddies. first time fishing in the ocean when we took our families to Florida together. I caught this beast (pictured) right off the bat and got sea sick as hell. I sat in the air conditioning for the next 4-5 hours while these 2 had a blast. once we got to shore and I stood on solid ground, I felt way better. then they took our picture with our catches and puked my guts up right after this was taken. I have been forced to accept my land legs, the ocean life is sadly not for me.
