I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

If you are going, I recommend going by Ken Lashley and either buying a sketch or buying one of his mystery boxes.

My favorite sketches by far.

It'd be a 1,000 mile drive. I'm going to skip out on this one.

Ahhh...I end up taking locals for granted...they are there and probably at Hamilton and or Niagara Falls just about every year....someday though cause yes..his sketches are really nice!!

Only about an hour drive for me so if things work out at work then I'll just make a quick trip in to the convention center.

I got autographs from him in Boston. Didn't inquire about sketches.

I already had given two blanks to Rob Guillory earlier that weekend.

Mattina should be at both Toronto and NYCC.

That's pretty cool that he'd do that. His name just comes to mind because he seems to be at a majority of the Ontario conventions. Finally sought out issues and getting a few books signed by him this year as I didn't own anything he'd worked on and had been taking his appearances for granted lol...

I'll be going Thursday and Saturday. Have a ton of Mattina and Jock stuff to get signed. Along with a few Byrne books as well. Also picking up a ton of exclusives as well.

I'll be there Fri-Sun, my 3rd year in a row (First time doing the big VIP ticket). It's a big trip for me as I'm coming in from out of province. Solid lineup of celebs & artists I think!

I'm going on Saturday only. I see a thread across the street that Byrne is not doing signature series/witnessed books.

In Boston Byrne signed up to 10 books per person per day for free (no duplicate books).

According to Mark Roman it is possible to get the signatures verified ($25) for red label but AW and yellow labels are not allowed.

Requested Thursday and Friday off - we'll see if it gets approved!!
I think I should be ok...we just got new computer systems for our accounting and manufacturing, pretty sure September 4th is going to be a shit show for me and will be for a few weeks but for now I can't see/fix anything in the new system till I have to close the month and find problems in my accounts etc.

Only want 1 or 2 sketches - if lucky I can get in and out on the Thursday - maybe a few back issues but not a whole lot else I like at this event - too big for me/can't handle the crowds.

Last year we met up for drinks at the Loose Moose (Friday or Saturday I think). We even got Mark Roman and some guys from the CBCS booth to come out with us.

Anyone interested in a meet up this year?

Ahhh....the Loose Moose....drank a lot of pints in that establishment!

Its been many many years since I've been there but if I remember correctly they have the Elvis special on the menu (or they used to), fried peanut butter and onion sandwiches...after a night a several pints that sandwich its absolutely delicious! but so might an old shoe, so who knows.

Oh god...guess I'm going to this stupid thing - just bought my one day Thursday ticket.

Only have 1 maybe 2 sketches I'm looking for and then get out of there!!!

Not a "fan" of Fan Expo - way too big and too many people for me and mostly non comics now compared to say 10 years ago....

Anybody remember the Paradise Comics Comicon??? That was nice - lots of comic vendors and a ton of creators - kicking myself for missing out on some who have not returned since!

Oh well....off to fight traffic, overpay for parking and wait in line to get in

Anyone that is going on Thursday, I'd appreciate knowing what supply is like on the Jock variant Detective comics. I'm not going until Saturday and I'd like to get one.
