As a GA collector, I buy about 20% of a book every week.

That's still pretty aggressive.

True, I suppose it is pretty aggressive. Ten books a year, mostly in high grade comes out about right. So far this year I've purchased six books. I'll probably purchase 4 to 6 more high grade books by year's end unless cost supersedes the budget I've set aside.

I get on average 5-10 every week. A guy at my LCS buys every single marvel issue released in a week. I saw him spend $300 just on variants and new releases!

I probably buy one book a week on average.

The only thing on my pull list is Black Widow, but there’s currently no on-going series for her. I mean, they “killed” her for a bit there.

I’m sure there’s another series on the way. The guys at my LCS are on top of it. I never have to worry I’ll miss an issue.

Otherwise, I’m constantly on e-bay hunting for bargains on keys. And I do mean constantly.

Depending on the week, 5-8 new books. Some weeks are heavier than others. $30/week is normal $50 is on the high end. I’ve really slowed down on keys and other back issues. I’ve grabbed most of the books that are in my comfort zone price wise. Still a few books I’d pickkup but lower priority. Most everything else on my want list is several hundred into a few thousand dollars. That may not be much for some collectors but it’s hard for me to justify with a young family and other expenses. Also I’m running low on storage space. I can still drool over all the high grade keys that get posted on this forum.

I may readjust to buy fewer new books and bank the $30/week for a good key.

I'm subscribed to the current Marvel lineup, a couple of Image titles, and two Aftershock titles. I'm not a big DC Comics guy; I like some Batman stories/runs; but I usually get those in TPB after the initial run. I also pick up the Dark Horse Aliens line, but the last year or so, all of the crossover w/ Predator & Prometheus really turned me off; I don't want to ruin the story w/ spoilers, but I was underwhelmed.

So just in subscriptions I get about six to eight comics a week; plus what I pull from eBay, Craigslist, convention buys, and forum post direct purchases.

I can't give a direct number; but my comic collection has gone from a single short box to twenty-five long boxes & fifteen graded boxes since September of last year.

I guess that's a lot?
