How many books do you usually buy per week?7212

Collector DJC_II private msg quote post Address this user
Just curious really.

Do you have an average or so?

Whats your mix between back issues and new releases?

Ive stopped my weekly pulls altogether now.

I probably average 1 book a week

Since my comic kick that sort of started in early June I'm averaging

7-8 new per month
35-40 back issues per month

The back issues will probably slow down soon as work ramps up again next month.

What I do know is that the books are getting more expensive and the two a month is starting to sting a little to my wallet. If you are reading 5 titles and they come out twice a month at 3.99 to 4.99 a piece....ouch! I have had to sadly be more selective.

I rarely but new comics. I buy any Treasury sized stuff I see if a store orders extra for the shelf.
If I buy 20 comics a year now I'd be surprised.

It really all depends. Stories, first appearances, variants, artists, specials or to complete a run. Soon to be a whole lot less. I have run out of room!

8 on the pull list. Then usually another 8-10 new books per month. Then about 4 bronze or silver age books per month. This is a good pace for me.

5-10 new issues per week average plus the occasional slabbed or higher grade raw book from eBay!

The list keeps growing as I keep knocking stuff off of it. Lately, it's been too many books. Some good, some filler. My pull list is sent to me monthly and varies.

Around 35 new books per month.
Then its either 1-2 key books per month OR 15-20 backissues. Depending how the cash flow is going. In August my backissues were Batman New 52 1-11. Month before it was ASM 529-545. Month before was Det. 880, Batman 655 - 666.
Then the occasional send off to CBCS. Currently waiting on 3 books. End of Sept ETA.
I'm stretched way too thin. Need to limit my pulls and bite the bullet and drop some titles so I can get more complete backissues of the main stories I want.

Very few new books anymore. Just 1 or 2 a week, sometimes none. I typically look at the list on-line of books to be released that week to decide if I even want to make a trip to the LCS. I don't see anything this week that excites me or that I can't live without.

I'm picking up between 13-18 new books a week, sometimes ratio covers included in that count. Maybe 1 or 2 wall or back issue books here and there

That's still pretty aggressive.

True, I suppose it is pretty aggressive. Ten books a year, mostly in high grade comes out about right. So far this year I've purchased six books. I'll probably purchase 4 to 6 more high grade books by year's end unless cost supersedes the budget I've set aside.

I get on average 5-10 every week. A guy at my LCS buys every single marvel issue released in a week. I saw him spend $300 just on variants and new releases!

I probably buy one book a week on average.

The only thing on my pull list is Black Widow, but there’s currently no on-going series for her. I mean, they “killed” her for a bit there.

I’m sure there’s another series on the way. The guys at my LCS are on top of it. I never have to worry I’ll miss an issue.

Otherwise, I’m constantly on e-bay hunting for bargains on keys. And I do mean constantly.
