| My first was Spider-man #1 9.8 from the McFarlane series. I was curious about grading and had just attended CBCS's seminar last year. I was still not sure on company preference either. So I found two graded copies on eBay of Spider-man #1 one CBCS and the other CGC. I preferred the CBCS slab. The other reason was I still wasn't sure how I felt about having slabs in my collections. Comics were meant to be read. Anyways while they looked cool they just didn't do a lot of me. Then Megacon rolled around. I wanted Stan's autograph and figured having it witnessed/verified then graded would be my best bet to preserve it. So I had my ASM #2 graded and that's when It finally clicked with me. Now I'm hooked. | ||

This is my first submission, August 29th, 2014 just when they had the plastics issues. I sent in this one as a test thinking it was a 9.0. I love the look of the cases and the free grader notes. Plus the little checkmark was voted on to show books looks better then grade implies. |
