Best Frames for Slabbed Books? UV Protection Wanted.6955

Collector 00slim private msg quote post Address this user
Someone posted a link awhile back to an online store that offered frames for slabbed books. The best part was, they even offered some with UV protection.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Any help would be appreciated.

@00slim
I found this; after I checked it out I’m thinking about ordering some of these myself!

They’ve got a nice variety of display products too. Hope it works out for ya!

Those are the ones! Thanks, @Zombiebigfoot.

I’m looking at this one to display my TOS 52 & 53 side-by-side.

And you’re right. The museum editions are the ones with UV protection.

I just use UV film from amazon applied directly to the slab.

CBCS slabs are hung easily, a small finish nail head slips right into the back of the top rail where the top label lives

If you want to be a baller you can take this route:

https://www.metropoliscomics.com/load_bookDetails.php?id=755377&set=0

I don't own one but I salivate over them some days.

That is cool. Something I’d consider if/when I pick up an AF 15, or a book of similar value.

I've thought of doing exactly this ^

Interesting, but for $325 I don't think so.

Wow! Those POD frames are absolutely horrible looking.

My vote is uv film on the slab. Putting slab in a frame is a bit overkill IMO. Why get it slabbed?

I frame my raws. I just put bag and boarded in a standard a4 frame, with uv film applied to the glass/plastic of the frame..

I like the simple design. My two cents is that the star of the show is the comic, not the frame.

I’m just bummed they don’t have a double frame for graded books.

They have it for raw books, but for graded ones they have everything but double. They have single, triple, & even quadruple frames. I suppose they figure you can just buy two singles.

I haven't looked at their website for a while but they used to say that they could make pretty much anything you wanted. If you want a double contact them and see if you can get it.
