Your book with the most views on MSC6916

COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
For those of you with your collections on My Slabbed Comics, which of your books has the most views?

I took a look at my account recently and found this book, which has only been up a few months, somehow accumulated more than three times the views of any other book I have, some being up there for years.

I love it but I have no idea what drew so much interest from others to this book.

@dielinfinite - Maybe they think that’s the Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel costume that will be worn in the movie.

It's a better cover than the original, sadly. First appearances of Rogue, Carol Danvers had been out of comics for about a year (I think)... none of it on the cover.

My MSC isn't current but for what's there this book has a significant more amount of views compared to the rest of my books...weird ... Signed and remarked by Rick Parker

The cover for this book is actually reused from a House of M variant but I definitely agree that the original cover is pretty lackluster for an important key.

I love this re-imagined cover by Michael Golden. I'm sad that there hasn't been a variant or reprint that's used it

My top views were always just ones that I'd uploaded first, until I uploaded this one-

can somebody please tell me how to load pics of my slabs on this site...never knew it existed and just went in...pretty cool place.

I'm obviously not a tech guy and don't know why I can't just drag pics from my desktop..thanks

It is fairly simple

1. Create an account
2. Go to your account / collections
3. Manage your collection
4. Create new collection (think of it as a folder)
5. For each collections - you can add items

Pictures you will need to upload just like here

Whatever you do - do not chose add with assign. It is painly and takes a long time. Just use add

Also you will need to remember to click in the active box - otherwise the slab will not appear

Good luck

I just signed up, i'll start adding my collection tonight. I've used CAF for a while but didn't realize this site was so similar/owned by them. For those that have used this for a while, can you put books into multiple collections? Like can I have a "Marvel" collection and a "DC" collection but also a "CGC" collection and "CBCS" collection?

Why can't you? I just added one of my FF 186s to another collection. Nothing in the program prevented me from doing it. The same book is in two different collections.

I’m guessing you mean you uploaded the same book twice so that one entry is in one collection and the other in a different collection. Yes you can do that but you can’t assign one single entry into teo different collections

Yes, I had to enter and upload it twice. You are correct in that a book can't be entered once and then assigned to more than one collection. It can be moved from one collection to another. If one would want it in more than one collection, then it would have to manually entered into each collection. Double (or triple and so on) work to do it, but if one was determined or committed...

Only problem I see with doing this is that from a technical standpoint, that would be creating two different line items in the database; so if in the future they provide updates for like "How many books are in my collection" or "Value of my collection" then it will count those books twice since the system doesn't know they are the same book

Yep. I just have my stuff entered once. I do have two FF 186s, but they are different books. Big enough pain in the ass scanning them and entering them the first time.

so...I guess I'm the only one who has no idea how to load in this site...here are the screen shots of what I see after creating an account and i don't see this option listed below:

"When you get to add comic you upload pictures by clicking the button called “primary image” choose file and can add additional pictures
Under additional images."

what am I doing wrong

@Watcher you need to create a collection. Think of a collection as a folder. Once you create a collection you will get to the next step where you will be able to add a comic within the collection (folder) and where you can upload picture.

Odd that they used that cover for the reprint and didn't touch-up/cover-up the House of M symbol on the hellicarrier.

Does anyone know how often (if ever) they update this site/app? The user interface and lack of features kinda gives me the vibe that it is a somewhat newer site; however, i have seen a few accounts that are 5-6 years old. I just started loading in some of my collection last night (I have a long way to go still) but there are definitely some features/improvements I'd love to see and wondering how likely it is that any are being made?

@RyanHicks I’ve been using the site for a while and I can’t say I’ve noticed a large number of really obvious additions but I also haven’t looked for more than just a place to post pictures of my slabs online.

I do remember them adding CBCS red labels and .1, .3, and ART (I think) labels, but those seems like obvious minor additions
