90's Comics VS 80's Fashion6889

The 90's in comic collecting was like the 80's in fashion. It's arguably the most cringe-worthy and somewhat fascinating era in the industry. Foil covers overshadowed substance, timelines were broken beyond repair, stylish costumes and corny dialogue filled the void left by lack of character building.

What is your favorite cliche' of the 90's? I want to hear your take away on the era of flash and edge in the comics industry.

Manga Spider-man. I still cringe even mentioning it.

Loved it. It was terrible at times, but I grew up with it.

I must be a little older than you guys. I gave up on new comics in 1992 , just before the bottom fell out. Mainly because the publishers were force feeding us collectibility over substance. I decided my money was better spent going back in time instead of keeping up with what was current. For me, the 80s ruled!

@Paulbg2000 I was always more of a Marvel Kid until Spawn came out, but I'll be damned if that Flash series wasn't my jam
