The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
@Jesse_O

Have you ever tried using Googles reverse image search? I'd do it for you, but my phone is limited.

@esaravo

Very interesting. It seems there were more pages originally.

Funny it said the art was from Joe Simon estate.

Thanks @Bronte and @esaravo!!! I figured out that the magazine cover in that lot is from Sick #26!! This is the best lead I've had so far!!! I'll probably get a copy of it next month and see if that art is in it!! Thanks again!!

This is the Amazing Spider-Man #1 Marvel Authentix Edition with cover art by John Romita Jr.

I picked it up from Joseph Michael Linsner at SDCC today and submitted it to CBCS!

I don't buy vintage comics at SDCC, just art. I can get comics any time (cheaper, usually), but I like buying art from the artist.

But to start- These 2 (or 3, I suppose) were not purchased at the con, buy they were waiting for me when I returned. Purchased from Freddie Williams-

Captain Atom

#10 pgs 2 & 3 DPS
#12 Cover

Buying art from Neal Adams (something other than profile sketches) is kinda like buying a new car; Do it at least once in your life, and never again.

Published art? Not even the iconic covers are worth those prices.

Ka-Zar #4 pg 11 This was purchased from Mike Royer's friend of 50 years, and long time Convention attendee and historian Greg Koudoulian while at SDCC. He was telling me old convention stories behind the table while Mike pitched his goods to passerby's. We were talking for maybe 20 minutes before we realized I bought another Ka-Zar page from him on eBay just a few months ago. We had a laugh, and shook hands like we just met [again].

The latest addition to my Hulk vs The Thing commission collection, done at the con by Tim Vigil in around 90 minutes iirc.

GalaxyCon 2019 (formerly known as SuperCon). I met artist Alex Saviuk and was able to chat with him extensively. What a nice fella. He had so many Spider-Man strips for sale but I was on a very tight budget today. I asked him to finish Nite Owl on my Watchmen jam and he happily obliged.

Sal Buscema's not my favorite artist (and I'm guessing it's not John Buscema), but it's a nice page.
I'm trying to figure out where it was published.
I'm going to guess Hulk magazine.

You can tell by the way he draws mouths that it's Sal.
It's from Rampaging Hulk #9

I could tell it was Sal. I think I remember the painted cover on that issue.

Sal didn't draw everyone hunched over to fit in the panels on that page nor were everyone's fingers fanned out like claws. It's definitely one of his better pages.

Received a scan of the rough layouts for my next jam. Fantastic Four in the Baxter Building with symbiote in captivity (we all know how that worked out).

Yep, it's a front & back (or back & front) view of a blank he worked on, put together in one image. Thanks
