So I have some magazines I wanted to get signed and graded. But slabs are still not available, so raw grading is the only option right now with CBCS. I came across a listing on eBay with a raw grade with yellow label. So does this mean that we can now submit signature grading?![]() |

You would think CBCS would have made an announcement about this. Did we miss something?

What’s the point of raw grade on a normal sized comic? In my opinion the main reason people get comics graded other than wanting the grade number is for the restoration check. Raw grade doesn’t do that. Another reason people get comics slabbed is to protect their comics, raw grade doesn’t do that as well. Confused.

I am a staunch supporter of CBCS, but on this topic, I am not. The "Raw Grade" program is not going to add value to CBCS's position in the graded market, overtime. |

For me I honestly wouldn’t do anything beyond modern age books for raw grades. I also noticed that if you opt in for pre screening and a book does not meet your minimum grade it automatically goes to raw grade which is cheaper. That also if you select raw grade along with pre screening. This way you can sell that book with a grade and maybe still get a profit.

Given the lack of security on the raw grade, does CBCS honor the grade and signature if one were to send it in for normal encapsulating?
