We’ll on a single book it was a 3.5 ASM 2 for $900 last December, but in total probably the highest I have paid that I was not planning on selling was my grail in m6 collection a beautiful looking 2.0 Copy of ASM 3 looks better though I spent about 500 on it in 2015 and cracked it out then I met stan and had him sign it 120 for that, and I did the mistake of sending it to CGC instead of cbcs, I am a new cbcs lover but at the time I was trying CGC out, did that mistake and the6 charged 150 on grading it, there bloodsuckers for money, and put 10 on a stan label plus 25 on Stan’s authenticated certicate, I would crack it out but if so the signature would not be witness and would be verified on Cbcs Andy I’d rather just keep 8t witnessed, so in total on that I spent 805 love it to dea5h though

@Aliens actually, if you submitted the book to CBCS while it was still in the yellow CGC slab, CBCS would honor the signature and it would qualify for a CBCS yellow label

@Aliens I believe you submit the book with Authentic Signature option with the signee and date and submit the book while fully encapsulated but it is always a good idea to call and check with customer aervice to make sure. Back on topic, probably the most expensive book I’ve purchased was this limited edition sketched hardcover in 2008, shortly after Michael Turner’s death. I spent $400 on it. These don’t come up for sale very often since they were limited to 99 copies but there is one on ebay now with the guy asking nearly $900 before shipping |

My most expensive purchase so far is my 8.0 TOS 52. It was expensive. Before that, it was a 7.0 of the same book for about $850. |

ASM #300 for $225 (one of my holy grail books!). Luckily CBCS was at the same con I bought it at so I submitted it the same day; came back with an 8.0. I’m ecstatic to have it in my collection & proudly have it on display!

Very interesting topic. ASM 300 CBCS 9.6, bought earlier this year for $600 and change. No plans to sell, it’s mine. I’ve been blessed enough to not be tempted to sell any books. |

Spent $2800 on a 9.0 Hulk #181 signed by Trimpe, Romita & Stan; had it cracked and signed by Len Wein and Roy Thomas as well, pressed and resubmitted and its now a 9.4 with 5x signatures....best comic purchase I've ever made; I will probably leave this earth before that book leaves my collection.

I remember when Chuck from Mile High was being interviewed about selling the Church Red Raven #1. Neat book which you never see. Surprised to see: 1. The census has 27 restored copies and 16 blue label. Bonkers eh? 2. 43 total on the census.. i was figuring 20 or so copies in existence. |

Had no intention of selling it when I had it done. Just full of fond memories. But I suppose it will be sold some day. When no one but few of us will even remember her and them. Think in total it cost me something like $80. But could have been less. |
