Need some information on New Mutants / Newstand / Mark Jewelers books6675

I'm going through an old box of comics and found 10 or so New Mutants Newstand Edition books. They all have the Mark Jewelers inserts. I'm not finding a lot of information on their value or collectibility. Anyone knowledgable on these books? I'm not planning to keep them and conditions vary.
So far, the issues I've found are 43,44,46,47,48,49,51,52,53,58
Thanks

Mark Jewelers commons typically do not have any price bump over the standard editions. If you had a New Mutants 98 you should be able to get a premium of 10-20% if its a Mark Jewelers.

Over half my Amazing Spider-mans are MJI comics. I bought them as a large lot about 8 years ago.

Thanks. I never specifically collected Newstand or Mark Jeweler books and the box I am going through has a lot of both, mostly Marvel so far. I haven't collected much Marvel other than Punisher so I'm playing catch up trying to figure out what some of the books are worth.

I am sure there is a niche group that collects MJI. When looking for newsstands on ebay I will notice some sellers putting "Mark Jewel Insert" in the title. IMO they would not do this if people were not actively searching for them.

I do know that there is a lingerie ad insert version as well. I had one years ago that a friend liked so I gave it to him. Can't even remember what the book was.

Some people will pay more for MJI like Newsstand Edition collectors. Just be sure to place it in your title and descriptions if you ever plan on selling them to grab those interested niche buyers.

@kaptainmyke
Do you know if all Mark Jeweler inserts are Newstand edition books?

They were alledgedly sold at drugstores nearby military bases, hence why they are all Newsstands.

The Mark Jewelers Insert comics were sold on military bases, through AAFES stores, and Stars & Stripes Bookstores. Some of the overseas copies will have a small "star" stamp on the cover that the store added to show the book had been sold.
