Oh, I have not seen the new Venom yet. So it is an homage to an homage cover then?

Technical question...

Do you seal the acrylic paint with any sort of protectant? To keep it from chipping/flaking?

@Marximus No. They're going straight to CBCS to be slabbed. I didn't want to spray sealant resin on the book for fear of it buckling/wrinkling the rest of the cover or taking away from the sheen of the foil covers.

I just completed a copy of Spider-Man 2099 #1 and I'm auctioning it off on my page: http://bit.ly/2tnygtU

Yes, having worked with acrylics, I was wondering about the wrinkling effect. And possible fogging.

Also, is that why you are using the card-stock covers? I would think acrylics on normal covers would crinkle when the acrylics dry.

Nice artwork, btw.

@Marximus Normal covers are okay, example below

Cheap paper reprints like True Believers will wrinkle. Example below

@Masochism Thank you for pointing out that the True Believers covers are ill advised for this kind of work.

Okay, now I get it. I was wondering WTF was going on here. Now I understand, but to be honest. I am still not believing.

But it's your book, so do what you will.

@conditionfreak Its all about what people like/enjoy. Some people are nuts.

Like me.

Seriously, I'm sending @Masochism three copies of V:LP for remark; two red's & a gold. I would send a platinum if I could; but it took years for me to find the first one!
