MB will be a local con in July, should I get it signed and slabbed? or condition is too poor?

Definitely should be slabbed, only get it signed if you have an authorized witness from CBCS or a CGC SS facilitator to witness the signings for a good label.

I didn't get mine slabbed and regret it now. Granted mine was in a slightly worse condition than this one.

People go nuts over yellow labels. Who or why anyone would ever try forging mark bagley - I have no clue. But signature with no yellow: $0. Signature with yellow label: mucho $$. Mindless and ridiculous but also true.

Yes. Slab it with a sig only if you can get that yellow label.

Slabb it, looks like a 8.0 maybe a clean and press might bump it up. CBCS verifies signatures as well. I sold a 8.0 newsstand verified(red label) mark bagley on ebay for 105 total but that was during the 20% fathers day coupon. YMMV

I'd slip Bagley $10 for a quick Carnage head sketch, if I was going go have it gold labeled.

R
Gold labels with remarks definitely help a book sell for for more than just umsketched holds.

This book won't get a 9.8 with it's spine ticks but a 9.6 newsstand with a head sketch should fetch blue 9.8 prices,on a lot of books.

The OP should look into window bagging his book....and be sure to bring a small piece of smooth wood with him....to have a flat surface to rebag the book after it's signed.

I actually bring a piece of wood with me, and hand a book to the creator, in said piece of wood....convention tables are always jacked up...having books signed on busted up tables with a drop cloth on top of them is asking for a down grade.

if your don't think it will get at least 9.6 then I wouldn't do it.

There's a lot of spine ticks and color breaks. It's a 7.0-8.0. If you can get a yellow label....maybe? I would pass and wait for a higher grade

Are 362 and 363 which are in better shape also worth getting yellow label?

Do you think its worth it to do pressing to this book?

Bagley charges $20 for a signature if it is going to be graded. I asked for a head sketch during a signing back and offered him an other $20 in February and he said he does not do them. Could have been at the time, but it may be his policy.

So, I am looking at $20 Sig + $30 CGC SS Slabbing + $5 Invoice + S&H? So about $55 + S&H if my math is correct?

Sounds about right. Having several books slabbed will help make shipping easier on the wallet.

Bagley’s signature has changed quite a bit over time too; frankly, his current signature is a lot more uniform/legible than his old-school scribble.

If you are getting it signed and graded, then yes.
If you are keeping it raw and for your personal collection, then no.
If keeping raw and getting it signed, then no.
If you are selling it, sell it raw and unpressed.
If you are selling it signed, get it pressed and signed with a facilitator then sell.

Hope this helps
