I'll touch base with you after I get done with VA Comic Con in 2 weeks about those books. They aren't going anywhere i.e. it's not like I bring them with me to shows. They've been in storage for close to 20 years, you'll get first crack at them. Looks like I may only have 1 issue (for sure) off your DD list. |

Collectors used to care about this comic.![]() I think Miller did a "What If?" issue with Daredevil that was noteworthy also. |

Whichever you feel cover the arcs discussed here plus any one shots or those you feel would make a good mix of stories. No big rush as I'm very aware of searching thru boxes for specific issues. My collection is a colossal mess. I also understand the work that goes into setting up for comic cons. |

I’ve got a run of elektra assassin 1-8. Not selling but wondering if it’s worth reading. It’s a 9.6+ run so I was leaving it unread, but if it’s a good read I’ll pull out the nitrile gloves, lol. Thoughts? |

If you’re a fan of the character or of Miller at his prime, I’d say it’s worth reading. If you don’t want to handle your copies, it has been release in a collected edition you can buy for like $20 or digitally for less than $8 |

I've just started working on a run of Miller Daredevil in 9.8. (Everyone needs something to chase, right?) So far I have 169, 182, 185, 190. So ... still a long way to go. So CAK, after you fill BigRedOne's and Savage_Spawn's orders, if you have any 9.8 candidates from the first run (besides the four I already have, of course) I would gladly buy them. I wasn't planning to work on Born Again yet, and I forgot about 219 ... but if you have 9.8 candidates of those, too, I might as well buy from a trusted source. I'm going to have to agree with Doc Brown, the Born Again run is the best Daredevil story there is. Just great stuff. Of course, Miller's and Mazzuchelli's collaboration also produced Batman: Year One ... something I, and many people, consider to be the greatest Batman story of all time. But what I love about Born Again is how the art changes throughout the seven issues. It is brilliant on both ends, but it is highly detailed in the beginning, and simplifies by the end. It is as if Mazzuchelli learns how to do more with less detail, and simpler lines. And his art goes from pretty great, to amazing. And then he takes that amazing art and does the whole of Year One with it. |

@Tedsaid I'm A-ok with the mid to lower grade range. Mine will be reader/keeper comics not for speculating purposes. |

@Ted I had a complete run of every Miller DD book; mostly in CGC 9.8 with some CBCS 9.8's. Took me about a decade to complete; bought them all raw. A few months later, I sold/traded them all for golden and silver age keys, and some hot books. It was fun to fill that set but once I did, that was pretty much the end of it for me. @TedSaid , @SavageSpawn , @TheBigRedOne @StudleyDudley I can set all of you guys up with DD 185-190 (whatever issued needed) and Born Again sets. I have about 10 Born Again sets, and between just DD 185-190; I have roughly 300 copies of those 5 books. Most are generally around 9.2/9.4. Have some 9.8 candidates, newsstand and direct 9.8 candidates. I have been buying Born Again issues for the past few years whenever I see them at decent prices. I have reader sets (VG/FN to FN/VF) , VF/NM sets, NM sets and a few single 9.8 candidates. I will PM all of you guys in about a week and a half. ![]() |

I'm watching the Daredevil TV show now (finally!) and just learned something from IMDB trivia that I didn't know. (Though I assume @kaptainmyke did.) From the website: "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was originally intended as a parody of early-'80s comics including Cerebus, Ronin, and Daredevil. In the TMNT origin, after the traffic accident where young Matt Murdock saves the old man and gets radioactive ooze spilled on him, that same ooze falls into the sewers and mutates the turtles. The turtles' mentor "Splinter" is a take on Daredevil's mentor "Stick." In the comics, Daredevil fights a mysterious group of ninjas known as the Hand whereas the TMNTs' nemeses are known as the Foot." |

Quote:Originally Posted by CopperAgeKids @CopperAgeKids Hey! Is now a good time to talk Daredevil? I've managed to pick up a few nice ones recently, and so now I've got 9.8 slabs for 169, 182, 185, 189, and 190. And I found a good deal on a 168 in a 9.6 that is in the mail as we speak. (I'm hoping it's a crack and press and re-grade candidate, but we'll see.) I've also sent two 9.8 candidates off for grading: numbers 170 and 181. Anyway, quite a few holes still to fill. Let me know what you've got when you have time, okay? |

Some how, some way. CAK can still "vote" on here. He just did on my post on another thread. So either we are being haunted, or CBCS's banning batteries are low. |
