Stan Lee real or fake signatures6463

Collector Tsuggs124 private msg quote post Address this user
Anyone care to comment on the authenticity of these two signatures supposedly by Stan Lee? I found them online from some less than reputable sellers (or at least less established sellers) but for a great price. The price I paid was enough for me to risk the potential for them being fake but what do you guys think? I am aware there is no sure fire way to know without having them graded which I do not believe these are worth grading.

That one could be real.

Was this a Buy It Now situation, or an auction? If it was priced real low & a Buy It Now, I’d be suspicious.

It was listed as an auction with a make an offer option. I waited until the listing had only a few hours left then offered half of what he was asking.

Looks real to me! There's definite confidence in the signature, and it really does look like his other sigs out there... Not the last year or so, but prior to that.

The first one looks real to me as well.
The second one, however, does make my spidey sense tingle.
Still could be real, but it does seem off.

I appreciate all input. It at least makes me happy that these at least LOOK real(to some) regardless if they are or not. These are my first signed comics iv'e purchased so I gambled on them a little.

Lee #1: 75/25 authentic

This should grade authentic at PSA, PGX, and CBCS. It fits the mold of the type of Lee they typically pass.

Lee #2: 25/75 not good

This should not pass PSA or CBCS as there are strong indicators that favor it being a forgery.
However, this should pass PGX as authentic regardless of its questionability.

Or doodle a bug directly over and almost totally obliterating someone else's cover signature!

Personally, I think that fatal attraction looks more real than this CGC Gold signature series book.

Apparently that was signed in 2014

That appears so!

This FF GR1 would never be authenticated if it wasn't witnessed. It's probably one of his "other hand" signatures, and if so, I wasn't aware that he was signing with either hand (when one cramps up) as early as 2014.

Crack this out and it would never get a COA from any of the majors I'm sure.

Out of curiosity what does the voted up of posts actually do ? Is it just a like ?

@Eikkichi Exactly, it just acts as a rep for a person(someone who is posting things that other people find productive to the discussion).

They're carefully tabulated and at the end of the year, a winner is announced. The grand prize is a date with Stormy Daniels and her ambu....., er', attorney and acting chaperone, Michael Avenatti.

The last place prize is to pay for the tab.

Handed this book to the legend. Could have picked a better book but The Punisher has always been one of my favorites and couldnt afford the other books I wanted him to sign.

Nice! Anything signed by that man I'd cherish. I collect for pleasure over everything. If my collection happens to end up being valuable, it's just an added bonus.

I am the same way. Everything I have Yellow label I personally had signed with the exception of a Jae Lee 9.8 Dark Crystal #1

Someday I'd love to go to a convention and have my favorite artits/writers personally sign something, whenever I have the spare funds to do so.

As a lifelong autograph hound, I can assure you that is the way the autograph hobby is supposed to be.

Even more important than the signature should be the time spent in the presence of and/or talking to the signor. The handshake. The exchange. The ink is nothing more than a momento of that event and a way to reinforce the memory when gazed upon.

Buy someone else's autograph is like buying someone else's memory!

Of course, like anything else, it's a business now.
