On Site Grading questions6393

I'm going to Comicpalooza this weekend and CBCS is listed as one of the vendors there. Does this mean they will be offering On-Site grading there? I've tried to find their schedule but the events page is blank.

Also, do you get the comics back that day when they do the grading?

And finally, I want to get my Marvel Graphic Novel 4 slabbed, but I can't seem to find anything stating if they slab it or not yet. I know CGC does, but does CBCS do it?

As far as I know, they still do not offer magazine sized slabbing. They can grade it, but it will not be encased. Only CGC offers the grading and slabbing of that size at this time. There is hope that CBCS will soon offer that service. I don't know the answers to your first two questions, so hopefully someone will chime in with those.

I have had on site grading with cgc and you pick it up the next day. Just because cbcs or cgc attend certain cons doesn't mean that they are doing on site grading. Cgc in baltimore did it but cbcs did not offer it at the time.

CBCS on their events page does not list any cons where they are offering on-site grading.

CGC attends dozens of cons - but on-site grading is only at two I think

So NO. CBCS is not doing on-site grading at Comicpalooza

I find it hard to believe that either company would have their three graders "on site". They have to be cutting corners to do onsite grading.

Or am I ignorant? (talk about serving up a slow pitch right down the middle of the plate)

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
CBCS has certainly had on-site grading listed for events in the past, and they still have on-site grading pricing as a page in their menu. But with the move to Dallas coming pretty soon and the graders going with them, I can't imagine they're doing any on-site events any time soon.

Thanks for all the replies. Kinda bummed that they won't be doing it this weekend as I have several books I want slabbed, but waiting 3 months to get them back sucks a lot. And I can't really justify dropping 40 a book to get it back within a week. Oh well, I'll have to suck it up at some point i suppose
