You forgot to place a decimal after 7.

It's too pricey for me. I'm going to have to stick with my 3 lower grade copies. For those who don't know, Paste Pot Pete becomes the Trapster and a member of the infamous Frightful Four. VERY KEY BOOK!

Is that the 24 year average?

GoCollect (with it’s annoying new layout) Puts FMV a little lower, but not much. And there have been a few sales in the $3k range. With Infinity War putting Doc Strange in the spotlight again, that’s a reasonable asking price.

Too rich for my blood, but an awesome book, @KingNampa.

90 day GPA, didn't check GoCollect, on the pair is $2536.

Only 1 sale for each book in those grades within 90 days, 12 month average is lower on both.

Last sales at $2400 and $136.

Not to poo-poo in your cornflakes but really, starting off a hundreds above FMV....just sayin'.

Gotta leave room to negotiate. On here, anyway.

While you’ll get more heat on e-bay, there goes about 13% once e-bay & PayPal take their piece. That said, it still might be the right move.

You can get those two from mycomicshop for just about $2300 in 5.5, so that sets something of a floor.

Different grades and MCS pricing is not representative of 90 day GPA.

No, you don't.

Just set the price at slightly under FMV.

I'd say knocking 7% off FMV works for buyer and seller.

Buyer pays additional cost of insured shipping.

Post in the thread that the price is valid for 24 hours , before it is closed and books are moved to eBay.

Move to eBay at full FMV if the book doesn't sell.

As far as starting out high, and offering a key that is worth under $150....I see why a seller would want to do that, and I have no issue with that.

Nothing wrong with stating my take, though.

Wait 2 days.

Move to eBay at full FMV.

That’s one way to go. But in my experience, most want a better deal, no matter the asking price.

The 169 is very little enticement (in my opinion). But it is at least "something" to sweeten the pot.

In my opinion, if someone is looking for a ST 110 in mid grade. This is not a bad offering at all. Just about where it should be.

Of course we all want a deal/steal. Human nature.

I got more stuff to throw in. Need an interested buyer first. I’m not gonna start below FML, negotiation takes care of that.

Nah...with all due respect.

If you price your books at GPA or slightly under, when competing slabs are all priced well above GPA... which is the case with ST 110 if you pull a search on ebay... odds are that your slab will sell, at your BIN price.

The eyeballs on this board can't compete with eBay traffic.

99 times out of a hundred, if you list a book on this forum or the CGC forum; you will get more for it on eBay.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a value above fair market value. Nothing would ever increase in price if not for people paying above fair market value.
The justification to pay above market value is convenience. A person "could" save a lot of time looking for the exact condition and grade they want.
Mile High Comics & Lonestar are good examples of that. Much of their dollar box fodder sells for cover price or more because it's convenient to do one stop shopping.

You’re factually incorrect. You must sell it at the price CAK determines.

Price it however you want, and I don't think there is anything wrong with pricing books above GPA.

I do that fairly often....but really only on books that GPA is soft on.

I was just saying that your pricing structure, in this particular thread on this forum, is not (likely) going to move the slab for you.

@KingNampa Glad to hear you got your price. Which avenue did it sell for above FMV? Did you have to throw in a bonus book like you were thinking about doing?
