Well, against my better judgement I dialed up that South Park special when my son was in the living room with me. I turned it off after the Corona Virus transferred from bats to humans, even though we were laughing our heads off. I know my kid will keep watching it eventually. I just told him he better not throw dad under the bus. If mom catches him watching he better tell her that the other kids at school gave him the idea, lol.

@EbaySeller I love the series. A demented look at superheroes with many personal issues. Homelander is a great villan with his narcissistic attitude and his "mommy" issues. Makes you love to hate him. What a f-ing dick!
Season 2 was bloody, violent, good plot twists, exploding heads... fun! A nice progression from season 1. I hope it continues for a few more seasons at the very least.

Fresca?

New Buck Rogers Movie with Franchise Potential Is Happening at Legendary

Buck Rogers is making a comeback in the 21st century. Legendary Pictures is closing a deal for the rights to the classic sci-fi franchise, with designs on bringing the hero to the big screen for modern audiences. What's more, the studio sees this as a possible franchise play. Should things pan out, they will also produce TV shows, anime and other projects based on the source material. But let's not get too ahead of yourselves just yet.

According to multiple reports, Legendary is either closing in on a deal for the Buck Rogers rights, or has already finalized the deal. Don Murphy and Susan Montford, who are producers of the Transformers franchise, are on board to produce the project via their company Angry Films. There is no word yet on who may be tapped to pen the screenplay for the movie, nor is there any indication as to who could wind up in the director's chair. It seems things are in the very early stages as the deal is just coming together. As such, there is also no word on who would play the title character.

The movie and any subsequent projects that may arise will be based on the novella Armageddon 2419 A.D. Written by Philip Francis Nowlan, it was originally published in 1928. The character of Buck Rogers was introduced in the story. He was a coal miner who awakens after 500 years of suspended slumber to find a world at war, far removed from the one he left behind. The character then became the subject of a comic strip the exploded in popularity, leading to toys, radio plays and more. It was truly one of the first multimedia sci-fi franchises. Gil Gerard starred as Buck Rogers in a short-lived but well-remembered TV show on NBC from 1979 to 1981. The pilot was a feature-length movie that was released theatrically before the series made it to air.

Legendary is attempting to do something similar currently with Dune. The movie, directed by Denis Villeneuve, based on Frank Herbert's classic novel, will be released next October. There are also plans for sequels and a TV show. Studios are, in effect, trying to create cinematic universes based on popular IP that can be brought to various platforms. Originally, The Dark Tower was going to follow a similar route but the movie adaptation of Stephen King's book series failed to catch on at the box office.

Mary Parent and Cale Boyter are overseeing the project for Legendary. The studio already has a cinematic universe of sorts going with the MonsterVerse, which includes Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godizila: King of the Mosnters and the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong. While that universe has yet to crossover to TV, it has worked out well, for the most part, at the box office. Some of Legendary's other well-known movies include The Dark Knight trilogy, Detective Pikachu and Jurassic World. We'll be sure to keep you posted as further details are made available. This news was previously reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ (Canceled)
“The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” won’t be getting a second season. Netflix has confirmed the cancellation of the epic fantasy series, which served as a prequel to the 1982 film.

“We can confirm that there will not be an additional season of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance,” executive producer Lisa Henson said, according to Deadline. “We know fans are eager to learn how this chapter of The Dark Crystal saga concludes and we’ll look for ways to tell that story in the future.”

hmmmmm.....if only the people who own Henson productions had some other way for people to see their shows....

btw, was a huge fan of Dark Crystal the movie and the show was very good too - would be shame to not see it through. It is a prequel to the movie so it's not like it has an unlimited number of seasons - I was always thinking this was going to be a 3 season show...oh well....guess we can have more STD (like anyone wants either of what STD stands for!!)

Bloodshot Movie Sequel in the Works

DMG founder and CEO Dan Mintz has confirmed plans for a Bloodshot sequel with Vin Diesel returning to the role as the Valiant hero.

“I think [Bloodshot] was very successful in that respect, a lot of people saw it and it did very well in the post-release rollout but you can’t use the same evaluation process, pre-COVID, to this,” Mintz said. “[Are] Vin Diesel and all those people going to still continue? Yes, because it did so well and the response to it has been so well, it’s just that the response has been in a non-transparent environment, as opposed to a transparent environment like box office numbers.”

The first movie was released in March 2020 at the point when theaters were starting to close due to COVID-19. DMG and Sony moved the film to a home video release two weeks after Bloodshot opened in theaters. The strategy proved successful, leading to the sequel’s confirmation.

The plan for the first Bloodshot was to launch a new cinematic universe featuring Valiant’s line of superheroes. No word has been confirmed if that is still the plan.

Aside from Diesel, no cast or crew have been announced.

I actually thought it wasn't horrible...and it set the scene for sequels and possibly rolling in more Valiant characters...

I hope they make another and that it does well.....and not just because I have 2 Rai #0 at 9.6 (one glossy and one matte version) and 2 Eternal Warrior #4's at 9.6 and 9.4 - lol!!

Here's What We Know About a 'Constantine 2' Movie

BY SARA BELCHER
UPDATED 27 MINUTES AGO

For those who have already binged all of Keanu Reeves' movies, we have some good news. More than 15 years after the original Constantine movie was released, there's now confirmation that there will be a sequel to the much-appreciated original DC Comics movie.

Constantine follows the demon hunter John Constantine as he investigates the death of a police officer's sister, which he believes was caused by supernatural occurrences and not by suicide.

Now, there are rumors that a Constantine 2 is in the works and will potentially hit theaters in the near future.

Thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has all but put the entertainment industry on hold, there aren't many concrete plans in place for the movie. But here's what we know about a potential Constantine 2 film, including its release date and cast.

What is the release date for 'Constantine 2'?

The original Constantine movie was released in 2005, meaning that there will be almost two decades of time between the two movies. But that isn't stopping producers from considering the possibilities.

At this time, there are no concrete filming plans for Constantine 2, which means a release date is likely far off. That being said, there have been talks that the movie will be released in either the summer of 2021 or 2022.

While we know little of what the movie will look like, the original movie's star Peter Stormare, who portrayed Lucifer in the film, confirmed that there are now talks of producing a sequel.

Peter confirmed that there was a sequel in the works in an Instagram post. Coupled with a still of himself from the movie with the text "In Constantine, Peter Stormare plays one of the best versions of Satan in film history," he confirms the work is in progress.

It's possible that this sequel is in the works because of J.J. Abrams' live action Justice League Dark TV show that's reportedly in progress now. While it has yet to be confirmed, Keanu will more than likely reprise his role as John Constantine in the television series, which could have sparked the motivation for a sequel now.

Who will be part of the cast of 'Constantine 2'?

As we said, there has been little information confirmed about a sequel, though it's likely safe to say that Peter will return as Lucifer, considering his post about the Constantine 2 movie.

In addition to the return of Peter's portrayal of the devil, it's also likely that Keanu will reprise his role as the demon slayer in the film, as a recast all of these years later isn't apt to help the movie perform well.

Considering the DC Universe's recent reprise of many of the franchise's beloved characters, this sequel could potentially see some crossover in the universe, though that has yet to be confirmed.

At this time, we have little information about what the movie will look like, though it's safe to say that DC fans are excited for what this could mean for the franchise.

There was a Constantine reunion during one of the online conventions this year (SDCC?) and Keanu seemed to genuinely enjoy everything about it. He also just did the Bill and Ted sequel. Maybe he's in a super-belated-sequel phase.

I totally agree. It would be great if CW would spin him off from DC's Legends Of Tomorrow into his own series. At least they did keep him in Legends.
