'Supernatural' Officially Ending After Season 15

Supernatural has been the longest-running show in the history of The CW, on the air for more than 300 episodes. The incredible run is finally coming to end. Stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins posted a video to Twitter on Friday afternoon saying that the upcoming 15th season of the show will in fact be its last.

Padalecki tweeted the video out, saying that he wanted to make sure the fans heard it from them first, and not from another source. "Hey #SPNFamily," he wrote, "Here's a little message from Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and me. I'm so grateful for the family that's been built because of the show. Excuse me while I go cry."

Both Supernatural and Arrow will be coming to a close after their next seasons, ending two of the most popular shows on The CW. Arrow has been declining in ratings over the past couple of years, but Supernatural remains one of the network's biggest hits.

"Hey guys, Jared, Jensen, and Misha here, and we have some very big news that we wanted y'all to hear from us," Padalecki says in the video. Ackles continued, "We just told the crew that, though we are very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last."

@JLS_Comics I was really excited about it until I saw the animation. I don’t know why but I don’t like that style. However I did watch SSSS Gridman which was created by the same production compay as ultra-man and it was awesome.

Game of Thrones star Iain Glen cast as Bruce Wayne on Titans

Batman/Bruce Wayne’s shadow loomed pretty large over Titans season 1, which followed Robin/Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) as he tried to emancipate himself from his mentor’s dark influence. In fact, the season 1 finale featured Robin confronting the Dark Knight in what turned out to be a dream sequence. Based on the official character description, it seems as though Bruce and Dick are trying to work through their issues:
“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success,” reads the description.
This isn’t the only big DC character coming to Titans. Season 2 will also feature NYPD Blue vet Esai Morales as Deathstroke, and newcomer Joshua Orpin as Superboy.
Titans season 2 will premiere this fall on DC Universe.

‘Swamp Thing’ Debuts First Look Teaser; Confirms May 31 Premiere [VIDEO]

While reports that production on DC Universe‘s live-action Swamp Thing was ending early (with 10 episodes as opposed to the originally ordered 13 episodes) appear to be true, the streaming service is pushing back that the series wasn’t going to see the light of day or appear on the service.

Earlier today, news reports began circulating that production on the series was ending early. According to sources speaking with Star News Online, the show’s production crew were notified of the news Tuesday night as writers work to rewrite the season’s/series’ ending (though some reshoots for earlier episodes may still take place).

DC Universe’s Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.
_____________________________________

The streaming service‘s adaptation is based on the DC Comics character created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. Set to premiere May 2019, Swamp Thing stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Maria Sten, Jeryl Prescott, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton, Kevin Durand, Ian Ziering, and Leonardo Nam.

Written by showrunner Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman, and directed by Len Wiseman, the series stems from James Wan’s Atomic Monster in association with Warner Bros. Television. Wan, Verheiden, Dauberman, Wiseman, and Michael Clear will executive produce, with the series set for a May 31, 2019 premiere.

Here’s an overview of DC Universe’s Swamp Thing as well as a look at Bean’s Alec Holland, Mears’ Swamp Thing, Sten’s Liz Tremayne, Reed’s Dr. Abby Arcane, Beals’ Sheriff Lucilia Cable, Prescott’s Madame Xanadu, Madsen’s Maria Sunderland, Patton’s Avery Sunderland, Durand’s Woodrue/Floronic Man, Ziering’s Daniel Cassidy/Blue Devil, and Nam’s Harlan Edwards – offering some clues as to what viewers could expect from the series:

● Emerging from the swamp with a monstrous physique and strange new powers over plant life, the man who was once Alec Holland (Bean) struggles to hold onto his humanity. Prior to his life as the elemental hero, Holland was a biologist who got caught in the crosshairs of a small town nightmare, when he discovered a bizarre local illness connected to his work in the swamp.

● When dark forces converge on the town of Marais, Swamp Thing (Mears) must embrace what he has become in order to defend the town as well as the natural world at large.

● Smart and caring, CDC Dr. Abby Arcane’s (Reed) strong sense of empathy puts her at the center of a horrific life-threatening epidemic in her hometown, where she faces emotional demons from her past. A chance meeting with scientist Alec Holland takes her into a world of horror and the supernatural, and of the elemental creature known as Swamp Thing.

● Liz Tremayne (Sten) is a close childhood friend of Abby Arcane’s, who splits her time between reporting for the local paper and bartending at her aging father’s roadhouse bar. Her no-nonsense attitude belies a deep compassion for her friends and family as she sets out in her uncompromising quest to expose the secrets that threaten her beloved hometown.

● Sheriff Lucilia Cable (Beals) is tough as nails, pragmatic, and fiercely devoted to her son, Matt, her sworn duty to serve and protect the town of Marais. As the community she has dedicated her life to defending finds itself beset by strange forces, Lucilia must double down in her efforts to safeguard everyone she holds dear.

● Madame Xanadu (Prescott) is a centuries-old immortal who advises and aligns with crusaders against evil but is reluctant to join the fray directly.

● Maria Sunderland (Madsen) traded in her privileged upbringing for the swamps of Marais when she married local business magnate Avery Sunderland, but Avery’s life-time obsession with the swamp has driven a wedge between him and Maria. Her poised existence is shaken further when the return of Abby Arcane reawakens a deep grief over the loss of Maria’s daughter, Shawna, drawing her into the dark supernatural mysteries emerging from the swamp.

● Prominant businessman Avery Sunderland (Patton) serves as the de facto patriarch of his Louisiana hometown, always giving back to the community. His benevolent veneer, however, masks a ruthless determination to harness the power of the swamp for profit.

● Jason Woodrue/Floronic Man (Durand) is a biogeneticist without equal – and he knows it. Brought in to study the unique properties of a small-town Louisiana swamp, Woodrue becomes fixated on unlocking the potential contained within — leading to tragic and monstrous consequences.

● Stuntman turned movie star Daniel Cassidy/Blue Devil (Ziering) became semi-famous after playing the demonic Blue Devil. But now, eight years later, Cassidy finds himself living out his days in frustration, pining for his former fame while on a collision course with destiny.

● Harlan Edwards (Nam) is a gay CDC specialist and Dr. Abby Arcane’s second-in-command.

Henry Cavill Shows Off Geralt's Scars In 'The Witcher' With New Photo

Geralt may be best known for his long, silvery white hair and his outwardly apathetic, cynical, and threatening demeanor, but the scars that litter his body also have a reputation of their own. That said, Netflix hasn't revealed how scared up its version of the monster slayer, portrayed by Henry Cavill, will be in its upcoming TV adaptation of the series. However, Cavill has shared a new photo today taken after a day of filming that features the nasty scar on Geralt's side.

Interestingly, why Cavill doesn't divulge what he filmed today, it was presumably a scene that required him to be shirtless. Why would you spend time adding torso scars if you're just going to hide it under armor? Perhaps today the show shot a love scene between Geralt and Yennefer, who is portrayed by Anya Chalotra.

As you may know, filming on The Witcher is poised to wrap up in a couple of months. And despite numerous shooting locations, we haven't had any substantial set leaks showing off Cavill as Geralt. There's been noteworthy leaks showing off Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, but nothing of Geralt. In fact, the only look we've gotten as Cavill's Geralt on set is one still photo taken from far away that shows the monster slay running down a hill in full gear.

The Witcher is poised to release sometime during Q4 2019 via an eight episode run. At the moment of publishing, there's been no word of a specific date or when we can expect to receive the show's first trailer.

For more news, media, and information on the highly-anticipated TV adaptation, be sure to peep all of our previous coverage of the show by clicking right here. And as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think or hit me up on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and sound off there. What do you think of Cavill's scars?

The funny thing about this is, Jorah always kind of reminded me of Adam West for some reason. Maybe because he speaks so deliberately? Or because he never really laughs or jokes around?

'Peanuts in Space' Short Coming to Apple TV App in May

Thursday April 25, 2019 12:47 pm PDT by Juli Clover
Apple last year signed a deal with DHX Media and its subsidiary Peanuts Worldwide to develop and produce new Peanuts content, including original series, specials, and shorts, which will be released on Apple's TV platform.

At the time the deal was inked, a short featuring astronaut Snoopy was teased, and now that short is nearing a launch. According to Deadline, "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" is set to be available through the Apple TV app in May.

Described as a "documentary of sorts," the short aims to solve the mystery of of whether Snoopy was a world famous top-secret astronaut. Director Ron Howard and actor Jeff Goldblum star in the documentary.
Imagine's Ron Howard stars as himself along with Jeff Goldblum as a self-published NASA historian to take on the quest, which lightly spoofs the May 1969 NASA Apollo 10 mission that required the lunar module to skim the moon's surface within 50,000 feet and "snoop around" scouting a site for the upcoming Apollo 11 moon-landing.
On the Apollo 10 mission, NASA and the Apollo 10 crew named the lunar module "Snoopy" and the command module "Charlie Brown." Ahead of the mission, Peanuts creator Charles Schultz had been approached by NASA to incorporate his characters into NASA missions, which is one of the facts that formed the basis for the short film.

Peanuts and NASA in 2018 announced a partnership designed to "share the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with the next generation of explorers and thinkers," which is what led to the Snoopy in space content.

"Peanuts in Space" will be the first original Peanuts content coming out on the Apple platform, and since it's launching in May, it appears it will be available independently of Apple's upcoming Apple TV+ streaming service, which isn't set to roll out until the fall.

It sounds like "Peanuts in Space" will be made available for free to everyone in the Apple TV app, much like "Carpool Karaoke: The Series."

@OGJackster I enjoyed this season of The Orville also. As I was going through the May Previews, I noticed a new Orville comic coming out in July. I did a little digging and it appears that they are going to do 4 issues of two episodes (two comics per episode). Apparently, the Executive Producer/writer of the tv series wrote the stories. They are going to have occurred between season 1 and season 2 of the tv series. So, it sounds like they are new material and not just book forms of tv episodes. I'm pretty confident that I'll end up ordering all 4. LOL

I was really disappointed with the last episode of Gotham!

I'm sad that a lot of stuff I like is ending this year but at the same time (to be honest) a little relieved as there's less I feel I have to keep up with now lol
