I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
I don't think it was mentioned in this thread but Katy Keene is supposed to be getting a Riverdale spin-off.

@drchaos I did see that but, with the direction the CW is going, I'm about ready to write them off.

'Jessica Jones': Krysten Ritter Promises More Following Netflix Cancellation

It would be really nice if these shows are brought back to life on Disney+ streaming service at some point.

Already stated that Disney+ will not have mature content. Only way these get resurrected if Netflix gives the rights up and Disney puts them on Hulu. Surprised Jessica Jones got a 3rd season. Season 2 was pretty bad.

I just binge watched The Umbrella Academy. I really enjoyed it. They took a few liberties from a Stephen King book near the end of the season but, it was still fun to watch and make you anticipate season 2!

Good read about Netflix, the cancellations of the Marvel shows, Disney, ABC and how the new streaming services is affecting all of this.

Nightflyers cancelled by SyFy. Based upon a novella by George RR Martin. I watched the first few episodes, but it never really grabbed me, so I didn't finish it. Guess I wasn't the only one.

Amazon has announced that The Man in the High Castle will get a fourth season, but that it will be its last season. Based upon a 1962 novel by Philip K. Dick. I read the book several years ago. They've expanded the story from the book and taken it in several new directions. This has been one of my favorite shows recently. Happy that it will get one more season.

The first episode of Doom Patrol was very interesting. I feel like I need to watch it again to catch everything. I've never read any Doom Patrol comics but I am interested to see where this goes.

Veep final season will start on March 31. It is probably my favorite TV comedy of all time. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is fantastic. Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Gary Cole & Kevin Dunn (and others) as a supporting cast are excellent. Dan Bakkedahl as Roger Furlong may be my favorite character of the show. If you haven't watched this, binge watch it now before the start of the new season.

I'm loving "Deadly Class"!! There is usually some kind of comic book scene in each episode. It's cool to see that in a comic book, but to see racks of comics from the late 80's on tv ... it's glorious!!!!

So I'm catching up on my Tivo'ed shows from last week. "The Orville" just took a great plot twist!!! This Thursday it's going to be a "must watch" for me as it was part 1 of a two parter. No spoilers but let's just say that Asimov's Laws don't apply in the Orville universe!!!!

I hope Isaac comes out of this with a more humanoid appearance. For a technologically advanced race, they really look like clunkers.

Arrow to End with Shortened Season 8

Oliver Queen and his band of heroes are closing the Arrow Cave and hanging up the bows. Arrow will come to an end next year during its eighth season with a shortened ten-episode run. The news isn’t too surprising since The CW superhero show’s continuation had been the topic of debate until the recent announcement of an eighth season.

Stephen Amell, the show’s star, made the announcement via Twitter, stating “Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life…but you can’t be a vigilante forever. Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this fall. There’s so much to say…for now I just want to say thank you.”

While on Facebook Live, he expressed that the decision was due in part to his family. Amell also pointed out that with the Arrowverse’s interconnect storylines, he could still pop up as Green Arrow from time to time.

Arrow began its run in 2012, taking inspiration from the gritty Dark Knight film trilogy for a moodier superhero show than CW predecessor, Smallville. What started with a focus on Oliver Queen, grew to include a team with former military man John Diggle, tech genius Felicity Smoak, his sister Thea Queen, and Laurel Lance as Black Canary, among others. An even larger world grew from there, creating the Arrowverse (or CW-verse) – a shared slate of shows, including The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.

“This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind,” executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Beth Schwartz (showrunner) said in a statement. “We’re heartened by the fact that Arrow has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honors the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and – more importantly – the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.”

CW President Mark Pedowitz recently pointed out that the network is looking toward the future of DC programing. During the Television Critics Association winter press tour, he suggested that as shows age, they want to consider the next generation of programing to keep momentum going on the CW-DC universe.

Arrow is still expected to participate in next fall’s big “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, which means that it’s possible the show’s ending may be centered around the event.

They are including EVERYTHING from the comic. I will just leave it at that.

Alas, this well filmed series is just way too dark for my tastes, ...almost D.C. Universe (that's film universe)... dark. Watched every episode up to the last, but only enjoyed a couple (the Las Vegas trip ...pun intended... was clever and mostly amusing). That episode notwithstanding, guess I'm ready to bail. The hopelessness of the lives of these characters finally stuck a fork in my empathy, I'm done.

Upon reflection, my reaction comes down to an issue I have with placing disillusioned teens of any era we're supposed to like and in some ways identify with in constant jeopardy. The plots, structured around 1980's private school trappings with both adult an teen behaviors fueled by psychotic violence is unsettling to say the least. Teen angst should be relatable on some level, not infinitely tragic and depressing (as I see it). Furthermore, the ethnic cultural tropes are occasionally cringeworthy.

Of course, it never pays to take any fictional TV series too seriously, especially one based on a popular comic. I totally get the dystopian world view, the alternative universe set in an earlier time frame where the entire world seems corrupt as seen through the eyes of teenagers. However, sadistic murderous behavior being treated this casually and as a teachable experience for class credits doesn't work for me, it just ain't my cuppa.

Interesting take. I guess I'm numb to gratuitous violence in comics, tv, and movies at this point. I don't see how it is any different from the gore/violence (Negan) which everyone seems to love on Walking Dead. But yeah fictional anything should never be taken too seriously.

In any event the comic book is aces. As a child of the 80's the setting, music, references, etc all hit home for me.

'Krypton' Season 2 Teaser Reveals Best Look Yet at Doomsday

The first look at Krypton's second season finally debuted today, giving fans a short, but sweet look at where the Superman prequel series is headed next. And in the process, fans got what is easily the best look yet at the show's newest DC Comics foe.

The trailer, which you can check out above, features a very brief look at the show's version of Doomsday, who had been teased sporadically throughout Season 1. Doomsday can be seen growling in a pretty menacing way at some offscreen foe, as well as punching some sort of glass structure.

(Photo: SYFY)

While Doomsday might be best known to general audiences for his appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the character has a pretty complicated comic past. And although Krypton has only briefly laid the groundwork for the villain's arrival - culminating in him escaping from his cell in a pretty comic-accurate way at the end of Season 1 - it's clear that the show is aiming for a very faithful portrayal.

“We get to do our own iteration of Doomsday, untethered to anything else, so we get to explore Doomsday in a way that hasn’t been done and is kinda more true to the comics,” DC Chief creative officer Geoff Johns said prior to the series' premiere.

"There's not too much I can say about that right now," series star Cameron Cuffe previously admitted to ComicBook.com. "But obviously, you know, when Geoff came out at Comic-Con and revealed all these awesome characters we're gonna play with, it's so awesome to share them with everyone. Doomsday obviously has such significance, that death of Superman came out in '93 that was the year of my birth, and it's an amazing Superman story, and it changed comics forever. Not just Superman, changed comics. So to be a part of that, to be a part of that story and I don't want to tell you how it all lines up, but we get to do some really, really cool stuff with Doomsday."

'Supernatural' Officially Ending After Season 15

Supernatural has been the longest-running show in the history of The CW, on the air for more than 300 episodes. The incredible run is finally coming to end. Stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins posted a video to Twitter on Friday afternoon saying that the upcoming 15th season of the show will in fact be its last.

Padalecki tweeted the video out, saying that he wanted to make sure the fans heard it from them first, and not from another source. "Hey #SPNFamily," he wrote, "Here's a little message from Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and me. I'm so grateful for the family that's been built because of the show. Excuse me while I go cry."

Both Supernatural and Arrow will be coming to a close after their next seasons, ending two of the most popular shows on The CW. Arrow has been declining in ratings over the past couple of years, but Supernatural remains one of the network's biggest hits.

"Hey guys, Jared, Jensen, and Misha here, and we have some very big news that we wanted y'all to hear from us," Padalecki says in the video. Ackles continued, "We just told the crew that, though we are very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last."
