| I recently met Larry Hama and he signed a couple comics for me. He put To John on it which didn't bother me since it's mine. Will that lower the grade if I get it graded? | ||

| If the signature/personalization was witnessed it will not count against the grade, nor do I think it will if you have the signature verified. If you do neither then yes the personalization will detract from the grade as “writing on cover” but then again, the signature itself would do so as well. | ||

| It won’t detract from the grade any more than any other sig. But it will make it a little less desirable to a second party if you do decide to sell it. | ||

It won effect the frade what so ever. Meet Kevin Conroy and he signed a book that was witness and slabbed by the great folks at CBCS. It made out to me and biy do i love that book. Taking this to Denver Comic Con to get Tara Strong to sign it and graded again yeah |

| From what I've been told it does lower the resale value a bit. If your name is "John" do you want "To Bob" from STAN LEE or do you want "STAN LEE". For me, when I have something signed it's "To Rafel" and date it. Since the comic book is going to stay in my collection forever I want it personalized to me. I still have my STRANGE TALES 167 signed my Jim Steranko (circa 1977-78) "To Rafel, Jim Steranko". By the way, back then artists signed books for free. | ||
