Hello Everybody,

What is everybody doing for FCBD?

Are you going to a shop to get a sig? Or a sketch? Original Artwork?

I will be siging at Hi-De-Ho Comics in Santa Monica CA. But I am really excited that Jamie Hernandez (Love and Rockets) is also going to be there. I am getting a sketch and a sig!

What are you excited about?

I am going to BC Comics in Howell for signatures and maybe a sketch. I might also hit up my local shop just to buy a few back issues I have had my eye on

I'll be avoiding the comics shops as I don't want more worthless comic in my collection, nor do I want to deal with the crowds of people showing up just to get something free.

I'll be taking my son to my LCS and letting him pick issues to read

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
I usually start at the Zapp! Comics half price sale before going to Dewey's Comics to get artist sketches.

I will try to get up to an LCS more for my kids. @cawummel I might make it up to BC also. I had a pull list with their other store Nerdagedon before they closed all their stores to open the one big one in Howell.

I think I'll go to an LCS because I can get free stuff and enjoy worthless comics going into my collection. There is one copy of a free book that I want.

I wish my LCS had cool stuff like guest writers and artists. They usually run a big sale and grill hot dogs and have a food drive for charity.

I think I am not understanding. You want to get Lim's signature on artwork you did?

Great piece by the way.

The line for Free Comics went outside and stretched around the building. No thanks.
I brought some of my OO Silver Surfers for Ron Lim to sign (mostly slash page except #75 and The Vault). I, like many, often bought an issue from the rack even though I had a pull list at the time, and I just brought the better looking of the two. I strongly considered bring my Thanos Quest books, but they really didn't have a good splash page area for sigs, and he didn't do the cover art.

I was kinda surprised to see how many people wanted him to sign their Infinity Gauntlet #1s. *shrug*

I believe Ron Lim did share pencil duties with George Perez on Infinity Gaunlet#1. So it seams like having him sign it would make sense.

I found some bargains at Zapp! but mostly bought books that I really wanted the day before the sale. Was able to get several great sketches at Dewey's comics:

Venom by Tom Mandrake

Concept given to artist (Ben Oliver Art)

Wolverine by Sian Mandrake

Phoenix by Andre Symanowicz
