I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. | drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
With Disney buying Fox it should be interesting to see if any X-Men make it into the next chapter. Wolverine had a big role in this story in the comics. With Loki dead I was surprised they didn't bring Mephisto into the story yet. |

@BrianGreensnips I think the intention was to make Thanos more powerful and mysterious to the audience by not sharing his thoughts / motivation. They could choose to go there next time. |

His motivation is derived directly from the Rebirth of Thanos in Silver Surfer #34-x To which Surfer quips "You mean you want to solve the universe's environmental problems?" |

These types of people are why Jack Gleeson rarely makes public appearances. It's sad. The fact that everyone hates him so much is exactly why he is so awesome. |

Here's something no one has brought up. If eliminating half the universe's population was truly going to be as random as Thanos suggested, then it would have have been truly ironic and a poetic justice had Thanos gone "poof" too. But of course, as it is with all elites that think they know better, they get to exempt themselves from the plans they have for everyone else.

well he had a 50/50 chance of going poof then, now didn't he?

What if even after a 50% kill there is still over population so he has to back to the 1990s to do it again and thats when he meets Carol

@JLS_Comics What if Thanos went back in time and artificially inseminated his birth mother with advanced genetics from the future to make himself into existence? After all, he was "different" then anyone else of his race. |

why didn't any one just cut off thanos arm, and movie over. or dr. strang open a portal over his arm and have it cut off. like he did in the being off the movie and the bad guy arm comes off. glove fall off and they win lol.

I agree, especially since he made it a point to tell Thor he should have gone for the head. At any point during all the battles, especially when Mantis had him mind numbed, they could have cut the arm off instead of trying to pull the gauntlet off or Thor could have gone for the arm too instead of the chest or head. Thor was the last chance and he made a horrible, stupid choice.

Why didn't they use the stones as a weapon? Why were they more concerned with hiding them?

Writers/Producers: We didn't like the original idea of Thanos winning in the comic and realized it wasn't realistic. The heroes aren't stupid. Thor could use Stormbreaker or Dr Strange could just use open a portal and cut off Thanos' arm, get the Infinity Gauntlet and defeat Thanos. We cut the movie down by 45 minutes and everybody goes home happy. Marvel Studio Exec's: Hmmm........Or you can leave it be and we get to make a second blockbuster movie a year from now, and make even more money. Yes-men sitting around the board room table: Good idea boss, good idea. We like it. |

The search for plot holes is getting more interesting than the search for the stones themselves. There needs to be an Austin Powers version of this movie where Scott Evil (Dr. Evil's son), takes care of Thanos his way. (Step aside Thor, you dumb@$$ and give me that f-ing hammer/axe so we can end Thanos the way that guarantees success, like, by chopping off his head or arm.) |
