| In some cases, the artists are using the same photos for reference. It is not plagiarism if the artist sat down and redrew someone else's picture. I guess if I tap my hands on the side of a rock, I'm stealing from the first Caveman to ever do it. | ||

| imitation is the highest form of flattery. I dont think any of the artists are passing off the work as their own original ideas, but more likely trying to honor their own personal favorite covers and/or artists work by giving them a nod in their own style. I would be honored if an artist like todd mcfarlane thought highly enough of a piece of my own art, to recreate it with his own style. Just my opinion. |
