This is a blank variant copy of X-Men Legacy #1 with an inked watercolor sketch of Jean Grey as Marvel Girl. Anybody out there know who the artist whose autograph is on this? Thanks in advance!

You've got me on this one. It looks like "Mag Light"

Strange name... "Illag Caht". I would get my name changed if that was what my parents gave me at birth. I guess the artist could have been named "Maggot" (Maggaht) by an illiterate parent that can't spell.

Paragolia (sp??) sets in....

I see a broken "M" or a "W" with..."AIGHT". WAIGHT/MAITH.

The "I" looks like it has a big "dot" above it.

Here's where I came up with Mag Light. Not trying to stir the pot, just trying to show how I came up with it.

@MedicAR - I can see that, but two different styles of "G" sort of takes me away from that line of thinking.

Even after I guessed, I noticed I could be an "L" short.

:o)

This is an X-Men: Legacy, Vol. 2 #1B Marvel Comics (January 2013)
Where did you get it? You may try doing some research into what comic cons were in your area in 2013 and who their guest artists were there at that time.

Got it in a huge collection at Heroes-Con in Charlotte last year. Just pulled it out last week so thought I would run it by the forum here to see if anyone had clues. Appreciate a lot of the posts so far.

Or Mai Ught? There's one on Facebook but it is a private page.

A long time friend - also a comic dealer - identified the artist. Mark Wright. Look at the sig on his Facebook page compared to the scan above and I think we have a match. Thanks to everyone for your efforts on this - very much appreciated!

@WalkinWillie

Nice. Those three straight lines are definitely unique.

I know the guy! Actually, I've seen him setup a lot and I know of him. I talk to his dad occasionally. I know his dad more than him.

He sets up at pretty much every one of these shows...

Now I have to take back what I said about his parents!
