Today is the day to redeem your ebay bucks for all that hard earned buying on the ebay. What did you get? Free is free! For me, I got 3 low grade EC Horror Books I have had my eye on with my ebay bucks: |

I was going to use mine on a Cap #100. I had a few in my watch list, and the leading candidate was reduced by $50 a few days ago. I strongly considered claiming it and waiting until today to pay, but I hesitated because I "pride" myself at being an instant pay buyer, as my FB universally shows. I know a few days is no big deal. I'm weird that way, but sellers LOVE me By the time the devil on my left shoulder convinced me to sin (yes, I exaggerate), a smarter watcher grabbed it. What remained in my watch list didn't appeal, so I shifted to Sgt. Fury #1. None were in the price range, of course, but it led to the #13 with enough left over for the Thor upgrade. I'm happy |

I bought a radiator for my 2014 jeep wrangler. I know, very exciting. Leaking/developed a crack because of the crazy swings in temperature we've had in the NE this winter. Garage wanted to charge me $800 to put in a new one...F-that...going to do it myself. You know how many awesome comics I can buy for $800??? |

Got this today with my eBay bucks. Seller was asking $1k but took my 36 month average offer of $400. So don’t be afraid to lowball gents, it works sometimes! |

Quote:Originally Posted by KingNampa Actually, your offer of $400 was not even close to "lowball". The seller was asking the moon for the book at $1000. I was curious so I looked it up in GPA.... Last CGC SS Steranko 9.0 in GPA is from 2015, at $310. CGC universal 9.0 day GPA is $330, last cgc universal 9.0 sale was at $360. That said...you paid what I would consider to be slightly below FMV or FMV. IMO, it is a solid $425 slab. The seller probably had it pumped up to a $1000 OBO, a couple years back when Inhumans were slated for a big budget Marvel film. It probably would have sold at a straight up $400-$450 BIN much sooner than trying to reel in a sucker for a grand. |
