@Spc51 Unfortunately no, the only thing I know is that there's quite a bit of work that needs to be done on both the public side as well as internally.

The invoice and dashboard, updates at different times. The invoice is more accurate of the two, but even the invoice is not entirely accurate. Yes. They send email when your shipment is ready. I submitted a request on fedex site for all future updates using the number they provided. So I do not know if fedex would have generated an email separately They do not reveal grades until items have shipped. Please ask if you require more information. On a side note, the books look great. The packing could probably survive a second story drop. My point is, have patience if possible. They will get to you eventually and unless you are running a business with time sensitive items. I think you should be hapoy. |

Does CBCS fast track signed books or is the turnaround time the same as regular unsigned books submitted for grading in the same tiers and options?

As you all know for those reading this thread, my submission was received May 22nd and has been languishing under submitted ever since. Well on Friday last week I got a box from CBCS containing my Steve Ditko letter unslabbed with no explanation as to why it was so. The only thing I can think of was that the paper size was to big to slab. There is no other reason as I know the signature is genuine. To say I am angry is an understatement. To keep the letter for five months with no word and returning it without an explanation is discraceful. This was my first submission to CBCS having been a loyal CGC customer for years. Needless to say I will not be sending anything else to them after this. What a company. |

Quote:Originally Posted by Zevgoli Did anyone working at CBCS tell you that you could send in a letter and get it slabbed? I've never heard of any grading company doing such. They grade comic books. They have an ART label for art. I cannot find anything on encapsulating signatures on pieces of paper. I'm NOT saying that CBCS will not. And I can see where it is a potentially good service. If the autograph fits CBCS would be offering the service for substantially lower cost than say PSA does. I'm just saying I find no mention of their offering such a service. The website page on the Verified Signature Program only speaks of comic books. As for "thinking" that the letter is to large. The maximum dimensions are 10.25" x 7.25". If if your signed letter is bigger than that, it will not fit inside the CBCS holder. |

Quote:Originally Posted by TechnoDjinn You can Fast Pass signed books. Authentic Signatures (ASP) where a CBCS witness or employee saw the book signed do not add much to the TAT. A few days if that. The Verified Signature Program (VSP) - where a signature expert reviews and authenticates the signature - will typically add a week or two to the TAT. |

I was looking at doing authentication of a script and found their sister site could do it. See below for their email response... We do offer a similar oversized holder that can encapsulate most standard sized magazines and then we have a much thinner holder that fits photographs up to the size of 8 x 10. Here’s the size holders we currently offer for autograph encapsulation. · Standard Holder - 2.6" x 3.75" · Tall Boy Holder - 3.5" x 5.25" · Oversize Photograph Holder - 8.25" x 10.375" x 0.30" thick Oversize Check/Ticket Holder – 5.25" x 7.25" · Oversize Magazine Holder – 8.5" x 11" x 0.64” thick Our pricing depends on who each individual signer is and how many total signatures are on an item. You search each signer’s authentication fees at our website at www.beckett-authentication.com/pricing. I have attached our Beckett Authentication Encapsulation form in this email for your use. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with and have a great day. Regards, Beckett Authentication ServicesCole Chandler Beckett Authentication Services 4635 McEwen Rd. Quote:Originally Posted by Zevgoli I meant no belligerency. If it came across as such, my apologies. It's counterintuitive that signatures alone would be encapsulated as ART - and CBCS's website makes no mention of this service. The maximum size of what can be encapsulated in the CBCS holder is a bit hard to find on the website. So I was providing that information. But again, no offense meant. |

This was my submission. Got it back last week. had it slabbed as art and could not be happier. I know the sig is real and never plan on letting it go However i was surprised it included the note of "First appearance of Sad Girl Psycho Baby" as most small publishers usually do not get 1st appearances noted. Awesome job CBCS |

just a quick question, may have been covered already, but once you get an email your submission is finished, and it shows shipping on the invoice is there a method to find out the grade prior to the books arrival or is that included within the online posting?

@Darkseid_of_town - When your order gets shipped, it’s status becomes “Completed” and it appears under your order history. Click on the Order # and the list of comics for that order will be displayed. Click on the eyeball icon next to each listed comic and you will get the grade and notes for that comic.

Well I finally received my order of 10 moderns. Submitted May 8th and received Oct 10th. This is about 4 weeks longer then the TAT estimations, which is how I treated the TAT, just an estimation. I did a lot of reading on this particular thread over that time. I figured so long as they did not lose my books I will get them back, and I decided to be patient. Of course I was like everyone else on here looking at my invoice status every day. I am happy with the work I had received. Packaging was very well done, the slabs arrived undamaged, and no hangups at the boarder. I still have another order in, getting pressed that were submitted on the same day as my moderns, and my expectations will be the same. I am just happy I got my books slabbed, and received a good evaluation/grade. I was able to see the Reviewer's notes as well on my account. Over all I am happy with the service and will be sending more in the future. Thanks CBCS. |

@jayscomics I don't know where this "TAT" estimate is found but I was told "12 weeks" turn around when I submitted my books, and my invoice has always said "processed within 13 weeks" so that is the representation made to the customer. Your 4 weeks late estimate is way off. I submitted 10 days after you on 5/19/18 and based on the 13 week estimate it is now 7 weeks late and counting, and based on the posts in this thread I will likely be waiting at least another 5 weeks, so looking at 12+ weeks late or about double the TAT that was given. I'm not sure what Kool Aid you guys are drinking but in any other type of transaction this would be very far beyond what is acceptable. The notion that you are just "happy to get your books back" is laughable, a real high standard you have. Any other business would be through with service like this, and would have to go through serious rehab to stay afloat. Instead all I hear is they had problems and are doing their best. Well 1)that is not the customers problem, 2) not a single notification or apology has been every given about these delays, and 3) nothing has been done to compensate any customers for this serious failure. This is so beyond unprofessional. I can't imagine it being handled any worse than this (I don't care how hard they are supposedly working or short staffed they are, it was foreseeable and in any case it simple doesn't matter).
