I think this needs to be posted every week. This is the only way to get real time updates. It might cut down on the number of missed calls too.

Ahhh...but what if nothing ever gets updated???

Mine says "Received" on main screen but only submitted on the actual invoice...after 17/18 weeks....after handing over in person

In a zen place...I remember way back (10years ago?? maybe more) waiting almost 7 months for a CGC submission....my books will come back eventually, hopefully before the February convention I will likely go to and have more books to send in!!!!

My dashboard updated today. I had press screen and have a new charge, so I think that means they were finally screened and I'm being billed for pressing. They were received April 17, so it took the 25 week TAT for pressing and grading just to get them screened.

Anyone have an invoice that shows no payment has been made, but a dashboard that says paid in full? My money was taken out of my bank account months ago and is showing as paid on my dashboard, but not paid on my invoice. Just wondering if this is holding up my books? Thanks.

I cant answer your question, but I am in the same situation. I have 2 books being pressed. Invoice says I owe. Dashboard said I paid.

I called awhile ago and got a partial answer but the phone disconnected before the conversation was complete. According to the representative, it was marked as paid.

I sent an email to verify a week or so ago, but I have faith. I just got my second set of books and the 3rd set is in shipping status.

Yeah, I had that and was able to confirm that the invoice was wrong (i.e., CBCS knew I had already paid). I think the earlier posts about 'trust your invoice' are dicey; my dashboard has always been more accurate than my invoice.

Yeah I’ve checked that too and it just says submitted and says I have a balance due which I shouldn’t.

Here's my timeline so far:

Submitted one (1) book at Boston Fan Expo which I had signed on 8/12 (yes fast pass/no pressing). Showed received on 8/27. Shipped on 10/8 (the holiday). 6 week turn around time from received date (yes fast pass/no pressing).

Submitted a bunch of books at Mega Con Orlando 5/26. Showed received 6/4. As of today they are still in "labels". 17 weeks and counting.

Earlier in this thread the CBCS guys said the heating and Encapsulation is where the bottleneck is.

I had two books submitted at Mega Con Orlando on 5/26 and received on 6/4 as well. They are still showing "received" so hopefully mine eventually roll over to "labels" soon.

I have a weird one, maybe someone on here has dealt with something similar.

I passed in some books in March at Toronto Comicon, there was one silver age book that is in the 'Expanded' category & then half a dozen modern books. Some were witnessed signatures, some were VSPs.

All along, all the books have shown the same status on the invoice - for weeks they were all in labels. Last week it changes, the Expanded book shows 'Shipping' & the rest went from Labels to Grading.

Does that seem a little backwards? I feel like they would have been close to being completed (especially since another order of mine submitted weeks later has already been back to me for a couple of weeks).

Anyone else seen orders bouncing around the stages like this?

So is the dashboard just not updating at all anymore? I've had some of my books back for about 6-8 weeks and they still show as "shipping" on the dashboard and invoice. No graders' notes and they're not listed under my comics. Just curious.

May 22nd...dashboard and invoice still say submitted so I say no the dashboard is not updating...in my case anyway.

Submitted 5/19 (received 6/4)....and my invoice/dashboard still says "Submitted/Received"...not a very informative status after 5 months. When I spoke to someone at CBCS last month they said they were running 3-4 weeks behind but clearly that was not true. Now I have to worry about my holiday vacation and whether the books might come while i'm away and get sent back or lost...which would not even be a thought when I submitted in May with a 12 week turnaround advertised.

Art Slabb received 8/15 estimated TAT 3 weeks, still in billing and my balance is 0 3 weeks more like 3 months....LMAO...I have to laugh since it's better then crying smh….but no Newton Rings...

Can you please explain how books are queued to be processed/graded? Are they queued by show/con? if so, can you give us an update on what show/con you finished last, the current show/con you're on, and what shows/cons are next in the queue?

Maybe that will help us to get an idea of where all our books are since the dashboard/invoice isn't updating and we can't reach customer service. The google doc is also out of date because my books should have been mailed 2-3 weeks ago according to it. When will these be fixed?

The updates you both provide are super helpful, and the transparency helps ease all of our minds, but the things we are being told to do aren't working (website, customer service, invoice). any insights would be greatly appreciated.

@Guy Neither of us work in the Dallas office so I can't say for sure.

Historically the way it's always been handled is orders were processed in the order they were received. I've seen a number of cases recently though where customers are posting they've received orders from April while others are waiting on books from March.

Either changes have been made to the way orders are being queued or these are isolated occurrences.

Let me make some inquiries and if I'm able to uncover an answer I'll post it here.

Well, my books have been in LABELS for 2 weeks now. And emails are now being auto-replied to, with no useful information. Don't refer customers to the TAT calculator, if you are not going to adjust it for your expected delays. That is just frustrating.
So the wait continues.


I just called Beckett Customer Service. Got right through....ungh

They tried to give me CBCS's phone number and I let them know that no one answers that phone. I then asked them to take my Invoice # and pass it onto a supervisor... Anything to get anyone to actually respond...


I just got an email letting me know that my order will be shipping! 23 weeks! I can't wait to get my books, now to stay out of the actual portal, I don't want any spoilers. lol
